Xiaomi has started the Android Pie beta testing for Mi A2 Lite. Both Mi A2 & Mi A2 Lite were announced back in July and run on stock android as they are part of the Android One Program from Xiaomi. MIUI Developers have posted a thread on MIUI Forums where they have started the Beta Testing recruitment program for Mi A2 lite.
Mi A2 Lite Beta Testing: How to Register
Mi A2 Lite users need to download the MIUI Forum app and apply for beta testing. Here are the requirements:
- The user should be able to communicate in English
- They should have an account on QQ app as most of the communication will happen there.
- They should have some knowledge about flashing ROMs.
- The user must be active on the forums
If you check all the above requirements then you can apply right away by downloading the MIUI Forum app from the Play Store.
Selected users shall be notified via a private message on their User_ID and they shall continue from there. The deadline for application of recruitment is 18th of November (Beijing Time).
Users willing to participate in the program should be aware that since its a beta build, bugs are expected. They should thoroughly check for bugs in the software and report on QQ forums with proper logs & details.
Mi A2 Lite is a low-end budget device from Xiaomi. It comes with a 5.84” FHD+ display resolution and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. There’s Adreno 506 under the hood to handle graphics-intensive tasks. The device comes in two variants, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage & 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. As for the colour options we have Black, Blue, Gold, Rose Gold & Red (China Only). There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device for added security.
