Asus is a Taiwanese multinational conglomerate that manufactures consumer electronics, gaming hardware, and smartphones. The company is ranked as the world’s No. 1 when it comes to gaming motherboard and has a considerable following for its uber-popular Zenfone series along with its gaming smartphone lineup ROG Phone.
Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is a high-octane mid-range smartphone that is in tow to get Android 10 soon. Google released its tenth iteration of Android OS called Android 10 on September 3. Ditching the decade-long nomenclature that the company used to follow, all future OSes will be named numerically starting with Android Q that is now known as Android 10 while next year, we will see Android 11 and so on.
Google released the upgrade for Pixel series and Essential phones the same day while smartphone makers like OnePlus and Xiaomi did roll out the update to their high-end smartphones while Asus has joined the wagon too, Asus 5z already getting the update and this will be followed by others that’ll get their due updates soon.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 Android 10
Asus hasn’t been so kind with respect to the Android updates since only the Asus 5z making a cut into the list of few devices that have received the update so far which include OnePlus 7/7T/7 Pro/7T Pro, Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro while Google Pixels and Essential phones got their update right on the launch day i.e. September 3.
The Taiwanese brand hasn’t confirmed any timeline for its smartphones getting Android 10 update although it is highly likely to arrive within the period from Q4 2019 and Q1 2020 although you’ll need to take it with a pinch of salt since it is possible that the update might incident a few weeks here and there while it could release specifically to a region, carrier, and so on.
Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 Specifications
Asus released its Zenfone Max Pro M2 in December 2018 and comes with a 6.26-inch IPS LCD display with 403 PPI (1080×2280 pixels resolution). The device comes pre-loaded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 14nm octa-core processor along with Adreno 512 GPU, 3/4/6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage.
About the optics, the device comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP+5MP depth sensor along with a single 13MP front selfie camera located within the notch. The device was launched with Android 8.1 out-of-the-box and has received its Android 9.0 Pie update as well and it is in tow to get boosted to the latest Android 10 (formerly known as Android Q) although the timeline is still a bit blurry.
