ZTE launches Small Fresh 5 in China for $145

ZTE had launched the ZTE Small Fresh 4 which is the budget range of smartphone from the company last year. Now, as a successor to the last year’s Small Fresh 4, ZTE has launched a new smartphone called as the ZTE Small Fresh 5. The budget device from ZTE has been launched in Beijing and the sales of the smartphone will be starting in China and the price of the smartphone has been kept at $145. The ZTE Small Fresh 5, although, a budget offering from the company, has a dual rear camera setup which is a feature of the flagship smartphones. The budget rear camera on the ZTE Small Fresh 5 comes with two sensors for capturing images with depth of the field.

Talking about the specifications of the newest budget offering from ZTE, the ZTE Small Fresh 5 comes with MiFavor UI 4.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC coupled with either 2GB or 3GB of the RAM variants. Talking about the camera department, the dual rear camera setup on the ZTE Small Fresh 5 comes with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor as well. At the front, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel camera for clicking selfies. The phone comes with a fingerprint scanner, located at the back, as well. ZTE Small Fresh 5 is expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and GPS + GLONASS. The smartphone houses a 2500mAh battery measures 145×70.7×7.9mm and weighs 132 grams.

Talking about more details on the pricing of the ZTE Small 5, the smartphone has been priced at 999 yuan, which translates to approximately $145, the ZTE Small Fresh 5 comes in two storage options – one with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage and the other with 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM. The latter carries a price tag of 1399 yuan or $204.
