Hogwarts Legacy: How to Solve All Herodiana Puzzles in The Hall of Herodiana

The Hall of Herodiana side quest is a series of three puzzles that take place at the bottom of the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower. However, players must first speak to Ravenclaw student Sophronia Franklin near the Charms Classroom to trigger the quest. Sophronia is fascinated by the legendary witch Herodiana Byrne, famous for her mastery of the Banishing Charm, and enlists the player’s help in obtaining Herodiana’s outfit from her hidden room in Hogwarts.

After accepting the quest from Sophronia, players must explore the Astronomy Wing of Hogwarts Castle to find the hidden entrance to the Hall of Herodiana. The quest marker on the map points players to a specific location, where they must use Depulso to trigger a switch. This will open the door to the Hall of Herodiana, where players will face three challenging puzzles that require the use of Accio and Depulso to move sets of metal blocks. These puzzles can be difficult to solve, and they will test the skills of even the most curious Ravenclaw students.

The Hall of Herodiana is one of the biggest secrets in Hogwarts Legacy, and players who take the time to explore it will be rewarded with a challenging and fun experience. The puzzles are designed to be challenging, but players who successfully complete them will be rewarded with valuable items and rewards.

Even though the puzzles are located at the bottom of the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower, players must first visit the Charms Classroom to trigger the quest. Once players have successfully cast Depulso on the door, they can proceed to the puzzles. The Hall of Herodiana is a side quest that offers a rewarding experience for players who take the time to explore it.

Before you begin solving the puzzles, you should have the spells Depulso and Accio in your arsenal. These spells are needed to push and pull the blocks respectively. You will also be using the Basic spell cast on the reset switch at certain points in this quest.

You can learn the Accio spell from your Charms class. As for the Depulso spell, you will be able to get it after you complete Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1. As long as you have both of these spells, you should be able to complete the puzzles easily.

First Herodiana Hall Puzzle

The first puzzle serves as an introductory challenge. Although you may have already learned the Accio and Depulso spells from your professors, it’s important to understand how they can be used in these puzzles. To complete this challenge, use Depulso to push the metal blocks against the far wall and then climb up. However, don’t rush through the process, as you may miss out on some hidden secrets along the way.

If you mess up, you can cast a Basic spell on the bright orb on the ceiling to reset the blocks. The first thing you should actually do is move the two blocks to the back of the room. There is a ledge here with a hidden chest that contains a Dusky Wool Scarf. Now, you can reset the blocks by casting a spell on the switch. To proceed, simply use Depulso on the two blocks against the far wall, and use them to climb the wall.

As a reward, you can pick up Herodiana’s Cape from the chest. It is a cosmetic appearance item that can be applied to your gear.

Second Herodiana Hall Puzzle

The second puzzle in the Hall of Herodiana is a bit more technical, but still manageable with some strategic thinking. Proceed to the next room of the puzzle and you will see a block on the left and two on the right. There is another hidden chest at the back of the room, and you will need to create a staircase that you can climb to enter the secret area.

All the directions in this guide are based on when you first enter the room and face the next door. First, move the single block to the back and the double blocks to the left. Move them to the front, and then to the right. Now, move the single block to the right of the room. Move it to the front to meet with the double blocks. Now you have a mini staircase. Cast again and you should be able to move it to the middle of the room, connecting to the final wall.

However, don’t climb yet, because you need to move it to the back of the room. Once you have done so, you can climb the blocks and open the hidden chest on the platform. It contains Cerulean Rivet Gloves.

Once you have obtained them, you can now move the blocks to the final wall. Climb up the blocks and collect Herodiana’s Attire, a valuable item that can provide a boost to your character’s stats.

Third Herodiana Hall Puzzle

For the third and final puzzle, you will also be able to collect a secret item. First, move the double blocks to the far wall. This is quite a challenging one as you are at risk of falling through the gaps in the floor to depths below. Next, climb, the block on the left side to see the blocks you have moved. From here, cast Depulso to move the blocks to the right. Then, cast Accio to connect them to the block with the white switch.

The next step is to cast Accio to move the double blocks to the right. Cast Accio again, and it should come towards you. Now, you can get down from the block and stand on the right side of the double blocks. Cast Depulso to move it all the way to the left wall. Here, you will be able to climb the blocks and reach the hidden chest. It contains a Trimmed School Robe.

To solve the puzzle, you will need to reset the blocks. Use the white switch to do so. Now, cast Accio on the blocks to move them to the right, and then Depulso. They will be connected to the block with the switch. Climb on the block on the left again, and cast Accio on the double blocks. Now, you should have a path to make it halfway to the front of the room. Activate the reset switch again.

Cast Accio on the double blocks to move them to the wall in the front of the room, and again to move them to the left. That’s the final step, and now you have a path to make it to the main wall. Climb the wall and you should be able to reach the final door and collect Herodiana’s Cap.

How to Finish the Hall of Herodiana quest

Completing the Hall of Herodiana puzzles is a challenging and rewarding experience that showcases the depth and complexity of Hogwarts Legacy’s gameplay. Once you have solved the puzzles and obtained the outfit, there are different ways to proceed. One way is to simply exit the chamber and return to the quest giver as you are. You will need to show Sophronia Franklin that you have gathered the Herodiana outfit, but you don’t actually need to wear it.

However, players can also take advantage of Hogwarts Legacy’s transmog feature to change the appearance of their gear to the Herodiana cosmetics. This extra step can add a fun customization element to the game, allowing players to fully immerse themselves in the wizarding world.

While the transmog feature is not necessary to complete the quest, it can enhance the experience for players who enjoy exploring all the different options in the game. Additionally, showing the outfit to Sophronia is a great way to earn some extra XP for your Hogwarts Legacy adventures.

Overall, completing the Hall of Herodiana puzzles is a great way to test your skills and explore the intricacies of Hogwarts Legacy’s gameplay. Whether you choose to use the transmog feature or not, the satisfaction of completing the quest and earning rewards is sure to be a highlight of your wizarding journey.
