All Bluestacks Error Codes and Solutions

How to Enable Virtualization on Your PC?

Virtualization is a crucial technology used in Android emulators like Bluestacks. It creates a virtualized environment that closely resembles a real Android device, using hardware virtualization technology. This results in better performance and a more responsive experience.

When used in Windows, virtualization helps to isolate the emulator from the Windows operating system. This prevents conflicts and allows Bluestacks to run multiple instances of Android on your PC, so you can run multiple apps and games simultaneously. Virtualization also helps with resource allocation and cross-platform compatibility.

So, you must enable Virtualization on your Windows PC. Not only will it improve performance and smoothness, but you’ll also stay ahead of many errors.

As mentioned on the Bluestacks official website, Virtualization provides benefits such as:

  • 5x increase in performance.
  • Allow Bluestacks App Player to use more than 1 CPU core.
  • Eliminates FPS lag/shutter in various games.
  • Games can be played at the highest graphical settings.

Step 1: Check Virtualization support on your PC

[For Intel CPU]

  1. Download and install the Intel Processor Identification Utility from the official website.
  2. Launch it and expand the CPU TECHNOLOGIES option.
  3. If there’s a tick mark before Intel Virtualization Technology, it means your PC supports Virtualization.

[For AMD CPU]

  1. Download the AMD-V Detection Utility by clicking here.
  2. Extract the downloaded ZIP file.
  3. Right-click on the amdvhyperv.exe file and select Run as administrator.

After following the above steps, you’ll see the status of Virtualization on your PC. If the message reads, “This utility detected that AMD Virtualization (AMD-V) Technology is not enabled in BIOS” your PC supports Virtualization but is not enabled.

If your PC supports Virtualization, the next step is to check its status.

Step 2: Check if Virtualization is enabled/disabled

Virtualization is enabled by default on some PCs. So, it’s important to check if it’s already enabled.

  1. Press the Windows + X keys simultaneously and select Task Manager.
  2. Go to the Performance tab.
  3. Check the Virtualization status on your PC. If it’s enabled, you don’t need to enable it again. However, if it’s disabled, go to the next step to enable it.

Step 3: Enable Virtualization on your PC

If your PC supports Virtualization, you can enable it from BIOS settings.

  1. Press the Windows + X keys together and select Settings.
  2. Tap on Windows Update.
  3. Scroll down to Advanced options and tap on it.
  4. Choose the Recovery option and click Restart now next to Advanced startup.
  5. Tap on Troubleshoot and select Advanced options.
  6. Choose UEFI Firmware settings and tap on Restart now.

BIOS Utility will show up on your PC. If your PC doesn’t show the UEFI Firmware settings option in step 6, restart your PC. When your device starts booting up, quickly press the access key (also known as BIOS key) multiple times until the BIOS Utility appears.

There’s no specific access key (BIOS key) for all PCs. It varies from brand to brand. Here’s the list of access keys corresponding to their brand:

  • Acer: F2 or DEL
  • ASUS: F2
  • Dell: F2 or F12
  • HP: ESC or F10
  • Lenovo (Desktops): F2 or Fn + F2
  • Lenovo (ThinkPads): Enter + F1
  • MSI (Desktop/Laptop): DEL
  • MSI (Motherboard): DEL
  • Samsung: F2
  • Sony: F1, F2, or F3
  • Toshiba: F2

Once you’ve entered BIOS Utility settings, it’s easy to enable Virtualization.

[For Intel CPU]

  1. Go to the Advanced tab and choose CPU Configuration.
  2. Tap on the Disabled button next to Intel Virtualization Technology and select Enabled.
  3. Tap on Exit and choose Save changes & reset.

[For AMD CPU]

  1. Go to the Advanced tab and select CPU Configuration.
  2. Set the SVM Mode to Enabled.
  3. Click on Exit and choose OK to save and apply the changes.

You have successfully enabled Virtualization on your PC. It would be best if you experienced smooth and fast emulation on Bluestacks.

Check if Your PC Meets Bluestacks Requirements

Enabling Virtualization does not ensure your PC’s compatibility to run Bluestacks. Your PC must meet the requirements for Bluestacks; otherwise, it may not run smoothly and will likely run into many problems.

Bluestacks minimum requirements:

  • OS: Microsoft Windows 7 or above
  • Processor: Intel or AMD
  • RAM: Your PC must have at least 4GB of RAM.
  • Storage: 5GB Free Disk Space
  • You must be an administrator on your PC.
  • Up-to-date graphics drivers from Microsoft or chipset vendors.

Bluestacks can run on a PC with the minimum requirements. But, if you want to take full advantage of it, your PC must have the recommended requirements.

Bluestacks recommended requirements:

  • OS: Microsoft Windows 10 or above
  • Processor: Intel or AMD Multi-Core Processor with Single Thread benchmark score > 1000
  • Graphics: Intel / NVIDIA / ATI, Onboard or Discrete GPU with benchmark score >= 750
  • RAM: 8GB or higher
  • Storage: SSD (or Fusion/Hybrid Drives)
  • Internet: Broadband connection to access games, accounts, and related content.
  • Up-to-date graphics drivers from Microsoft or chipset vendors.
  • Please ensure Virtualization is enabled on your PC/Laptop.

You will likely face performance issues if you’re trying to run Bluestacks on a PC that doesn’t even meet the minimum requirements.

All Bluestacks Error Codes and Their Solutions

Below, I have included all Bluestacks error codes with the error details and potential solutions.

Bluestacks Error Code BRIDGE_INIT_FAILED

Your PC can’t run the emulator if you get an “Error code: BRIDGE_INIT_FAILED” message while installing Bluestacks. You must ensure that your machine meets the minimum requirements to run Bluestacks. We have listed all Bluestacks requirements above. Make sure to check them before applying other solutions.

If your computer meets the minimum or recommended requirements but still shows the “BRIDGE_INIT_FAILED” error, try restarting your PC to fix minor software glitches that could trigger the error.

Bluestacks Error Code Restricted Area

Many players have complained about the error code “restricted area” in Bluestacks. Those affected say the error appears while playing Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI).

If you also keep getting the “restricted area” error, try these solutions:

  • Check BGMI servers: The problem occurs when the BGMI servers are overloaded. Open the news section on the official BGMI website to check if they have posted about this issue. You’ll also find details about other ongoing problems.
  • Relaunch the emulator: Close BGMI and then close Bluestacks as well. After a minute, relaunch the game to check if the error has been resolved.
  • Try a Different Network: Network problems on your PC may also trigger the error. So, you must ensure that the connection is fast and stable. You can run a speed test via speedtest.net or fast.com to check your connection.
If your internet connection has issues, reboot the router by unplugging the power cable for a minute. Plug in the cable again and connect your PC to the internet.
  • Clear the game cache: Another possible workaround to fix the “restricted area” error on Bluestacks is clearing the app/game data. For this, open the System apps folder from the Bluestacks home screen. Go to Settings > Apps and tap on BGMI from the app list. Then, tap on Storage and hit the Clear Cache button. Relaunch the game to check if the issue is resolved.

Bluestacks Error Code 50011

The error code 50011 shows up on Bluestacks when you try to launch an app that is restricted on the platform. The emulator is not compatible with all Android apps and games. And therefore, it blocks the apps or games the emulator can’t run.

The app/game you’re trying to run may have compatibility issues with Bluestacks. You can try a different device profile from the Bluestacks settings to check if it can do the trick.

If changing the device profile does not work, try running the app on a different Android emulator, such as NoxPlayer.

You should avoid downloading APKs from third-party websites. The app may contain viruses or malware, and emulators may restrict them.

Bluestacks Error Code 4113

Bluestacks error code 4113 shows up when you try to install an app, but it fails. The emulator may not be compatible with the app. However, some users got this error when installing Instagram, which runs smoothly on Bluestacks. Fortunately, we have a fix that has done the trick for many users.

According to several users, the error shows up when installing an app from the App Center. Install your favorite apps or games directly from the Google Play Store to fix the issue. If it does not help, download the latest APK from a trusted third-party website and add it manually to Bluestacks.

Make sure Virtualization is enabled on your PC. We’ve mentioned the steps above in this guide.

Bluestacks Error Code 4025

The “Installation failed. Error code: -4025” message shows up on Bluestacks when you try to install an app or game that is already installed. If you are trying to install an updated APK version, remove the app first and then try installing the updated APK. If the app is available on Google Play Store, you can also update it from there.

Bluestacks Error Code 4007

Error code 4007 on Bluestacks shows up when there’s an issue with app/game installation. The error message doesn’t exactly tell the problem, but a Reddit user says that the error typically means that the app is already installed, which is similar to the error code 4025.

Try uninstalling the app and then installing it again. If it does not work, try installing the app using other methods.

Bluestacks Error Code 3002

The Bluestacks error code 3002 is similar to error codes 4025 and 4007, as it also shows up after an app/game installation has failed. The possible solution here is to relaunch Bluestacks and try installing the app/game again.

If the above solution does not work, check if the app is compatible with Bluestacks. Also, make sure that Bluestacks is updated. If the error message still shows up, the APK you are trying to install may be corrupted. Download it from a reliable source and then install it.

Bluestacks Error Code 2004

The error code 2004 can show up due to these reasons:

  • You may be trying to install a corrupted APK.
  • Bluestacks may not be installed on your PC.
  • Your PC is running an older version of Bluestacks.
  • Virtualization is disabled.
  • Corrupted Bluestacks installation.

One of these reasons could be responsible for the error code 2004 on Bluestacks. Check out some effective solutions to fix it.

1. Update Bluestacks: If you’re running an older version of Bluestacks, it may not be compatible with the latest software and games. Update the software, and then try installing the game/app again.

Steps to update Bluestacks:

  1. Launch Bluestacks on your computer.
  2. Tap on the settings icon from the side toolbar.
  3. Navigate to the About tab and tap on Check for updates.

After clicking on Check for updates, if the Download update option shows up, it means a newer version is available. Tap on it to download the installer for the latest version of Bluestacks.

Now, run the installer you just downloaded. Tap on the Update button. It will download and install the update.

2. Enable Virtualization on your PC: The error can show up if Virtualization is disabled on your PC. We have mentioned all the steps to check if Virtualization is disabled and how to enable it at the beginning of this guide.

3. Download the APK from reliable sources: If you get the error code 2004 while installing an APK, probably the file is corrupted. You must download APK files from trusted sources such as APKPure or APKmirror.

4. Reinstall Bluestacks: If the error message shows up while installing any app/game, the Bluestacks installation might be corrupted. Uninstall it and install it again.

Here are all the steps involved in the process:

  1. Type Control Panel in the search box at the bottom and hit Enter.
  2. Set View by to Small icons.
  3. Tap on Programs and Features.
  4. Right-click on Bluestacks, select Uninstall and follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Download the latest version of Bluestacks from the official website and install it.

Bluestacks Error Code 2001, 2002

If you’re getting the error code 2001 or 2002 on Bluestacks, the app/game you were trying to install has failed. These are the potential reasons that could trigger this error:

  • The device does not have the required resources.
  • The app you’re trying to install is corrupted.
  • The app is already installed.

Solution #1: Check if your PC can run Bluestacks. We have listed all Bluestacks requirements above. Review them to confirm if your PC can run Bluestacks.

Solution #2: Most people download APKs from a random website and try to install them on Bluestacks, which is not the ideal way. You may end up downloading corrupted or outdated apps, which might not install.

You should install apps and games directly from the Google Play Store for security and authenticity. If an app is unavailable, you can use reliable third-party APK distribution websites such as APKMirror or APKPure.

Solution #3: You will get the “Installation failed, Error Code: 2002” error when installing an app that is already added to Bluestacks. You must remove that first before installing it again.

Solution #4: Bluestack may fail to install the app due to insufficient permissions. Running the emulator software as an administrator may resolve the issue.

Right-click on the Bluestacks icon and select Run as administrator. Try installing the app or game to check if the issue has been sorted.

Solution 5: Ensure Hyper-V is enabled on your computer. It allows users to run multiple operating systems on the same device. When enabled, you get better performance and stability when running Android apps on emulators such as Bluestacks.

There are multiple ways to enable Hyper-V on a PC.

Method 1: Using Windows Settings

  1. In the Windows search box at the bottom, type “Turn Windows feature on or off” and hit Enter.
  2. Make sure these options are enabled:
    – Hyper-V
    – Virtual Machine Platform
    – Windows Hypervisor Platform
    – Windows Sandbox
    – Windows Subsystem for Linux
  3. Click OK to save changes.
  4. Restart your computer.

Method 2: Using a Custom Tool

  1. Download this tool to enable Hyper-V on your PC.
  2. Right-click on the downloaded file in File Manager and select Run as administrator.
  3. The tool will automatically enable Hyper-V on your PC. Click OK after the process completes. It will restart your PC to apply the changes.

Solution #6: If you are still struggling with the Bluestacks error code 2001 or 2002, completely uninstall Bluestacks and install it again. Doing this ensures that there are no Bluestacks corrupted files on your PC. Download the latest Bluestacks app from the official website.

Solution #7: Outdated graphics drivers could be responsible for app/game installation failure.

Steps to update graphics drivers on your PC:

  1. Press the Windows + X buttons together and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Display adapters option.
  3. Right-click on your graphics driver and select Update driver.
  4. Tap on Search automatically for drivers.
  5. Follow on-screen instructions to update the driver.

Windows automatic driver update is not reliable all the time. I recommend downloading the required driver from the manufacturer’s website and installing it manually. If it’s a headache for you, use one-click driver updater software such as DriverEasy or Driver Booster.

Bluestacks Error Code 1101, 33, 2

Have you received the “Installation failed. Error code: -1101” or “Installation failed: Error code: -2” error message? Both Bluestacks error codes tell one thing – Bluestacks couldn’t install on your computer.

The error code 33 is also related to the Bluestacks installation failure. So, the solutions we’ve mentioned below are also valid for this error code.

Here are a couple of ways to resolve this problem:

1. Restart your computer: A minor software glitch can prevent the installation of Bluestacks. Restarting the computer should fix it.

Try installing Bluestacks again to check if the issue is resolved.

2. Repair Bluestacks: If you get the Repair now option on the error screen, tap on it. It will automatically fix the error for you. You should now be able to install Bluestacks without any issues.

3. Make sure your PC meets Bluestacks requirements: Bluestacks installation may fail if your computer does not meet the minimum requirements to run this app. Want to review the requirements? We have mentioned them at the start of this guide.

4. Temporarily disable antivirus: Antivirus may block Bluestacks files, causing the installation to fail. Try turning off all antivirus on your computer and then install the emulator. Don’t forget to enable antivirus again to protect your system.

5. Free up system resources: Bluestacks will only install if your system has sufficient RAM or storage. Your computer must have at least 5GB of free space and should have enough RAM for the installation process.

To check the available RAM, press Windows + X and select Task Manager. Go to the Performance tab and check the RAM usage. Consider closing unnecessary tasks to free up RAM if it’s usage is high.

To close unnecessary tasks, go to the Processes tab, right-click on a process, and select End task. [Note: Do not remove essential processes.]

After freeing up system resources, try reinstalling Bluestacks again.

6. Use Bluestacks 4: If the above solutions don’t work, try installing Bluestacks 4. For some reason, Bluestacks 5 and 10 don’t install on many PCs, but Bluestack 4 does. Go to the Bluestacks download page to download Bluestacks 4.

Bluestacks Error Code 1004

According to affected users, the error code 1004 shows up when installing or playing a game on Bluestacks. It may also appear when logging into your account in a game.

If you get this error, disable the VPN and relaunch the emulator. If you’re not using a VPN, connect to a VPN location, as some users succeeded after connecting to a VPN server.

If the problem persists, you should reinstall the game.

Bluestacks Error Code 160, 32

If you’re getting error code 160 or 32 on Bluestacks, the app/game you’re trying to install or play may have been blocked on the platform. The only possible solution here is to try an older version of Bluestacks.

Bluestacks Error Code 66, 60, 26

The error codes 66, 60, and 26 appear when Bluestacks encounters a problem installing App Player.

Here are potential fixes to Bluestack error codes 66, 60, and 26:

[Solution 1] Disable Hyper-V: You can try disabling Hyper-V (if enabled) as a potential solution to resolve error codes 66, 60, and 26. There are three methods to do it. Check them out below.

Method 1: Using Command Prompt

  1. Type “CMD” in the Windows search box at the bottom.
  2. Right-click on Command Prompt in the search results and select Run as administrator.
  3. Type the following command and hit Enter:
bcedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

Hyper-V will be disabled upon successful execution of the above command.

Method 2: By Installing a .exe file

  1. Download this custom .exe file on your computer.
  2. Locate the file in File Manager, right-click on it, and select Run as administrator.
  3. After the process is complete, click OK to restart your computer.

Method 3: Using Windows Settings

  1. Type “Turn Windows feature on or off” in the search box at the bottom and hit Enter.
  2. For Windows 8, uncheck the Hyper-V option. If the PC runs Windows 10 or 11, uncheck all the Windows features from the following list:
    – Hyper-V
    – Windows Hypervisor Platform
    – Windows Sandbox
    – Virtual Machine Platform
    – Windows Subsystem for Linux
  3. After unchecking the required option(s), click OK.
  4. Choose the Restart now option.

If Hyper-V is not disabling, you have to disable Memory Integrity first. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Type Core isolation in the search box and hit Enter.
  2. Turn off Memory Integrity.

[Solution 2] Reinstall Bluestacks: If disabling Hyper-V doesn’t help, completely remove Bluestacks and install it again.

  1. Press Windows + R to open the Run command box.
  2. Type %temp% in the dialog box and click OK.
  3. Press Ctrl + A to select all fixes and hit Delete to remove them. These are temporary files that can be safely removed.
  4. Download the Bluestacks cleaner tool.
Download this tool to uninstall Bluestacks 4 and Bluestacks 5.
Download this tool to uninstall all versions of Bluestacks 5, Bluestacks X, and Bluestacks Services.
  5. Run the downloaded tool. If it asks for permissions, grant it by tapping on Yes.
  6. After the uninstallation process is completed, you’ll see a “Process has been finished” message. Click OK.

Restart your computer before you reinstall Bluestacks again. Download the latest version of the emulator from the official website.

Bluestacks Error Code 14

The error code 14 on Bluestacks shows up due to database issues. More specifically, when the emulator can’t open the database. A fresh installation of Bluestacks may resolve the error code.

Check out solution #2 of the previous error code to learn all the steps.

Bluestacks Error Code 13

The Bluestacks error code 13 means that the emulator cannot create a new instance. The complete error message reads, “Create Instance Error: Unfortunately, Bluestacks could not create an instance. Error code: 13”.

To fix this error, you have to completely remove Bluestacks and install it again. Check out Bluestacks Error Code 66 solutions to learn all the steps.

Bluestacks Error Code 11

You are getting the error code 11 on Bluestacks because your PC does not have the recommended specifications. More specifically, your PC should have a minimum of 2GB RAM to install the App Player.

To run Bluestacks and its necessary features, your computer should have a minimum of 4GB RAM. If your device meets the minimum requirements of Bluestacks but still shows the error code 11, reach out to Bluestacks support.

If your PC has less than the required RAM, consider increasing the RAM. You can add a new RAM stick or replace the current RAM stick with an increased one.

Bluestacks Error Code 1

The error code 1 has mainly affected those running the beta build of Bluestacks. Beta builds are likely to have bugs. So, if you are not ready for errors and bugs, you must wait for the stable release.

Download and install the stable build of Bluestacks on your computer to fix the error code 1. If it doesn’t work, try reinstalling the emulator.

Final Words

Bluestacks is one of the best Android emulators for PCs, but it’s not 100% free from bugs and errors. After a lot of research, I have tried to include all Bluestacks error codes and their solutions. Even my research has some limitations. So, if any error code needs to be added to this article, let me know in the comments below.

I am hopeful that the solutions will resolve the error. However, if nothing works, you can ask for help from Bluestacks support. Lastly, you can try a different Android emulator, such as Noxplayer – the closest competitor of Bluestacks – and it works pretty well with Android games.
