Fix 1: Clone your Hard Drive:

- Then inside the Command Prompt window type chkdsk C: /R and then press Enter.
If you are currently using the C drive and in case asked you need to Restart your system to perform the scan, press “Y” or “Yes” to restart the system. Then let the scanning process gets complete on its own.
Once the process gets completed, check the said issue got solved or not.
Fix 3: Connect the Hard Drive to a different PC:
The “File Record Segment is Unreadable” error can also occur if your Hard Drive is Physically damaged (the surface is scratched). This doesn’t mean that your files are lost.
