1. Restart Garmin Watch

You can try restarting your Garmin watch by following the steps below to ensure there is no issue with the system.

  • Press and hold the Power button for around 10-15 seconds.
  • Release the Power button when the screen goes black.
  • Now, wait for a few seconds > Press the Power button again to turn on your Garmin watch.

You can also force reboot your Garmin watch by checking below:

  • Press and hold the light button for about 10 seconds.
  • Keep holding until the screen turns off.
  • Release the light button and wait for a couple of seconds.
  • Press and hold the light button for a couple of seconds to turn it back on.

2. Ensure Your Watch and Phone are Connected

Make sure your Garmin watch and Android device are close to each other & paired via Bluetooth properly. To do so:

  • Download and Install the Garmin Connect app on your phone.
  • Sign in to your Garmin Connect account.
  • Get into the pairing mode via Bluetooth.
  • Then add the device to the Garmin app and connect to it.

3. Turn Off Spatial Audio

You can simply turn off Spatial Audio by following the steps below to ensure there is no issue with it. Some reports did claim that spatial audio disabling fixed the Google Assistant not working issue on the Garmin watch while syncing with Android 14.

  • Go to the Settings menu > Tap on Sound and Vibration.
  • Tap on Spatial Audio > Disable Spatial Audio for wired earphones.
  • For wireless headphones, tap on Connect devices settings.
  • Tap on the settings icon next to the headphones.
  • Turn Off Spatial Audio.
