iOS 17 brings a new feature called Contact Poster, which lets users customize the caller ID to display a photo or emoji. Using this method, you can recognize callers without having their numbers saved in your contacts. If you’re unfamiliar with Contact Posters, they allow you to create a customized caller ID that appears on the iPhone of someone you’re calling. For your contact poster, you can choose among a photo, Memoji, or monogram. However, there are some flaws to the feature. In many cases, it hasn’t worked for users. They complain that the iOS 17 users’ Caller IDs are not showing, and that’s the reason why everyone is looking for some fixes. So, here we are. Let’s get started with the guide.
How to Fix iOS 17 Caller ID Not Showing
So, here are some fixes that will help you resolve the iOS 17 caller ID not showing issue:
Fix 1: Edit and Check Contact Poster
When exchanging Contact Posters with your friend or family member, but you still don’t get the same results when making a phone call, try this workaround to fix it. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Using the Contacts app, open the contact information for that person.
- Thereafter, on the top-right corner of the screen, tap Edit.
- Once you’ve selected the Contact Poster, click the Edit button.
- Afterward, at the top-right corner of the screen, tap on the Contact Poster and then on Done. Once again, tap Done.
Even though it appears foolish and redundant since we did not make any changes to the Contact Poster, nor can we since your contact created it, but it somehow works.
