Mint Mobile Data Not Working? Here’s How to Fix It
Mobile data is a great choice for people who are constantly on the go, despite the fact that it is not the most reliable source of the internet. If you can’t access the internet via Mint Mobile, try restarting your device first. Your device will re-establish the cellular connection, which could resolve the internet issues.
If the problem persists, we have more solutions for you. Check them out below.
1. Check Your Data Balance
If you can’t access the internet, the first thing you would want to check is the remaining data balance. Head over to the Mint Mobile app and go to the Data tab. If there is no data balance left in your account, get a new data plan and start accessing your favorite websites.
However, if you have enough data balance remaining in your account but can’t use the internet, try other solutions to get it working.
2. Toggle the Airplane Mode
Turn on the Airplane mode to quickly disconnect from the network. After a minute, turn the Airplane mode on. Toggling the Airplane mode is a quick way to reboot your network. It can fix the internet issues on your Android or iPhone.
You can turn on/off the Airplane mode on iOS by tapping the plane icon in the Control Center. Similarly, you can toggle the Airplane mode on your Android phone as well.
3. Reinsert the SIM Card
If Mint Mobile data is still not working, try removing and reinserting your SIM card. It will also perform a network reboot. Try this solution, connect to the internet, and do let us know if you can access the internet.
4. Turn off the VPN
Although VPN is recommended for online privacy and safety, it can sometimes disrupt your mobile data connection. The VPN server may face technical difficulties or may get overloaded, which could cause issues with your internet connection.
To check if VPN is actually causing the problem, launch your VPN app and disconnect your current VPN connection. Turn off your mobile data and turn it on after 10 seconds. Now, visit several websites to check if the internet is working.
5. Reset Network Settings
You can try resetting your network settings to restore your mobile data connection. This will bring back all network settings to their default values. So, if you were not able to use the internet because of incorrect network settings, this solution should work.
Disclaimer:
Resetting your network settings will remove all saved Wi-Fi passwords and paired Bluetooth devices. Also, all the network-related changes you have made before will restore to their default values.
Steps to reset the network settings on iPhone:
- Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
- Tap on “General”.

Smartphones from several brands come with a data limit feature that restricts mobile data usage after the set value is reached. Usually, this option is located within the Settings app.
Launch the Settings app, go to Internet settings, and check if you have set a mobile data limit. If there’s any limit, remove it and then connect to the internet.
7. Update Your Phone
If the above solutions did not work out in your favor, try updating your phone. The newer software version may contain a fix for the internet problems. Updating the device requires internet. Since your mobile data is not working, connect to a Wi-Fi network.
Here’s how to update your Android or iPhone.
For iPhone:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Go to “General”.
- Tap on “Software Update”.
Your iPhone will now start looking for the latest updates. If there’s a pending update, click Update to download and install.
For Android:

- Tap on “Software update”.
- Click “Download and install”.
The steps we have mentioned above apply to Samsung phones. But, you can easily update any Android smartphone using the Settings app. If you can’t find a way, mention your device name in the comment section. We’ll reply back with all steps.
