Step 5: Come closer to the Wi-Fi router
Try to get closer to the router if the obstacles and interferences are not removable. Put your router as in the center as possible, and make sure to be as closer as possible to the router, in order to get a better Wi-Fi signal. You can also invest in a Wi-Fi range extender/booster or a router with a longer range of connectivity.
Step 6: Report to a nearby service center or invest in a new router
If you still cannot resolve your Wi-Fi problems, approach the nearest service center. If your Wi-Fi is not in warranty, you have to invest in a new one.

Method 1: Reboot the phone

Your phone’s Wi-Fi service might have crashed due to some software glitch at the previous start-up of your device. Power OFF the smartphone. Take a minute or so and power it ON again. See if it works or not.
Method 2: Toggle airplane mode
This method should always be tried before going for any other complex methods to fix any issues on your smartphone. For Wi-Fi problems, especially in cases when your device does not connect or connects but there’s no internet available, toggle the airplane mode. Turn ON the Airplane mode. Wait for a minute or a few seconds and power it ON again. Check if the issue is resolved.
Method 3: Check the password
This may sound obvious, but you should always give a check on this. You can easily an incorrect password if you see an ‘Authentication error’ within Settings >> Wi-Fi. Just enter the password and check if it works.
Method 4: Forget The SSID/Network
If you notice that your phone is either not connecting to a Wi-Fi network/disconnects itself automatically often, you need to forget the network and reconnect to it. Method 6: Use a static IP
If you encounter an error as ‘Obtaining IP Address’ but doesn’t connect, you can switch your phone settings to static IP address. It will help you make sure of any issues your router is encountering to handle DHCP addresses. For this follow the procedure below:
