Find the Ward Prime Fuse and Key in Remnant From the Ashes

Fans of Remnant From the Ashes are in for a treat. The much-awaited final expansion for the game is now officially available! When you go through the campaign mode in this DLC, you must enter Ward Prime after you get across the first area. This place features a number of intriguing puzzles that you will have to solve. One of them is to find a concealed maintenance key that is required to gain access to Ward Prime. This is a rather tricky task in itself.

Apart from that, when you do enter Ward Prime, the place is devoid of power. To rectify this, you will have to look for a particular breaker box in one of the rooms on the topmost floor. This box is missing a fuse, which needs to be fixed in order to restore power. If you are having problems with either or both of these tasks, you need not worry. In this new guide, we will help you understand how to find the Ward Prime fuse and maintenance key in Remnant From the Ashes.

How to find the Maintenance Key in Remnant From the Ashes

After you enter Ward Prime, you should notice a checkpoint right near the entrance. Interact with it to ensure that you get revived there if you get killed. There are also going to be some Root Apparitions in the vicinity, but unless you go into the Root World, you do not have to be concerned about them.

Now make your way to the south-eastern region, where you will find the main computer area.

You can then enter the Root World by interacting with the Root Nexus here. Remain vigilant for the aforementioned Root Apparitions and monsters flying around, though! Make your way to the north-eastern region of this place, where you will notice a Root Heart. Aim and shoot it until it is destroyed, and you will be taken out of the Root World mode. You will notice that you can now go through the area you just opened. Move down the stairs to the Medical Bay.

Here, you will have to complete the same process all over again. Namely, you will have to interact with the Root Nexus and slay a second Root Heart. Then go through the door and search for a window. Leap through it and open fire on the wooden bookshelf there. This will give you access to a cleverly concealed area.

Go in there, and you will finally obtain the Ward Prime maintenance key. Take it and head back up the stairs to the area with the first Root Nexus. Use your new key to open the small door on the left of the double doors. This will help you continue with the campaign.

How to find the Ward Prime fuse in Remnant From the Ashes

Make your way to the lowest floor of Ward Prime in the Laboratory. Here, you will find yourself in a room with three Nexus Hearts that you must takedown. The Ward Prime fuse we are looking for tends to turn up randomly in one of the three rooms here. Enter the Root World by interacting with the Nexus Crystal, and then proceed to slay all the three Root Hearts there. Keep in mind that you must go back and forth between the normal world and Root World three times for this purpose. This is because you will automatically be taken back to the normal world whenever you successfully destroy a Root Heart.

After you obtain the Ward Prime fuse in one of the three rooms, go back to the main floor from where you entered Ward Prime. Now make your way towards the power room in the northern part of this area. Restore power by inserting your newly found fuse into the breaker box there. Voila! Now that the power is back on, you will be able to access all the computer terminals there. You can now go to Dr. Enji Sato’s office, where there is a puzzle waiting for you. That, though, is a separate topic for discussion.
