- Once you’re on the go, you can swipe up the panel at the bottom of the screen and see how much fuel you’re saving. Generally, using this feature is 5%-15% savings for every journey.

There can be some scenarios where the Fuel-Efficient Route won’t be the fastest. In those cases, you might not want to use this feature. You can turn it off by following some easy steps. Here’s how to turn off Google Maps Fuel-Efficient Routes:
- Go to the screen where all the available routes to your destination are shown.
- Tap on the three dots on the top-right corner of your screen.
- Select Route Options.
- Turn off the “Prefer Fuel-Efficient Routes Setting”.
