  • Clear App cache:

Find out the app that causes the problem. Suppose opening a specific app is making the message pup up every time. In that case, go to settings > apps > find the specific app and tap on it > look for storage > clear cache.

If this fails, clear everything on storage for that application.

  • Clear Google Services Framework data:

Sometimes there might be a system app causing the issue. Most of the time, the “Google Services Framework” is the culprit. Clear the storage on this app. For this, go to settings > apps > tap on the three dots at the top right > show system > scroll and tap on the app ” Google Services Framework” > App info > Storage > clear cache.

  • Clear App preferences:

This is a fairly quick process. It will set all the apps to its square one position. It won’t clear the app data, but the default apps will be sorted back to its initial position. For this, head over to Settings > Apps > All. Here will see the option to clear defaults.

  • Disable auto-update:

Sometimes, a sudden app update could be the root of the problem. In that case, turn off the auto-update of apps as a precaution. To do so, Open google play store >  go to the settings section of the app > tap on the option Auto-update apps > select do not update apps.

This simple change could mean you might be safe from a possible future error update.

  • Do a factory reset :

A complete reboot of the storage will definitely fix the issue, but it also means that the stored data will be wiped. So a back up is a necessity for this procedure.

  1. Go to Settings and select Backup & Reset.
  2. Make sure the toggle on “Back up my data” is turned on.
  3. Tap on Back up an account to select the account to which you want your data backed up.
  4. After this, look for the option that says “Factory data reset” in the Backup and reset menu.
  5. Tap on it and confirm that you want to do it.

After successful completion, boot up the device and log in to the account you have set the Backup to. Restore all the data you have wiped off, and you are good to go.
