Trello Not Sending Email Notifications or Verification

Not being able to access the Trello dashboard can be a headache for many people as they have to access the information shared by the company as soon as possible. Coming back to the topic, the email notification or verification issue with Trello can occur due to some change in the notification settings or the emails from Trello might end up hitting the spam folder. Let’s take a look at the possible solutions.

Trello Not Sending Email Notifications or Verification, How to Fix?

1. Check Email Notification Settings

If the email notification frequency is set to anything other than “Instantly”, Trello will either not send you any email notifications at all or you’ll notifications periodically. Hence, you should change the email frequency based on your preference.

Here’s how to check and change the email notifications frequency in Trello:

  1. Open Trello in any browser.
  2. Click on your profile name in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap on Settings.
  4. Scroll down until you see Change Notification Email Frequency. Tap on it.
  5. You’ll see three options: Never, Periodically, and Instantly. Select the option best suited for you.

If you select Never under the Change Notification Email Frequency, Trello won’t send you any notifications via email. Trello will send you at most one email every hour when selecting the Periodically option. It is best suited if you keep receiving email notifications that annoy you. The Instantly option should be selected if every message is highly prioritized and requires immediate attention.

2. Delay in Receiving Email Notifications

Even if you have set the “Instantly” option for the email notification, there will be a slight delay in receiving the message on email. The moment a notification appears on your Trello account, the app sends the same notification to the preferred email address, which takes a little time.

Trello will not send you email notifications if you have read the notification on the Trello app before the email is sent. It is because you have already read the message, and Trello is programmed to not send you such notifications.

3. Test Trello Notifications
