How to Hack a Drone in Watch Dogs Legion
Hijacking a drone comes particularly handy when you have to travel to an objective marker. For accomplishing this task, you have various options. You can either ride to the destination or you can hack a vehicle. You can hack a car or a drone, and Hijacking a drone is obviously better. For Hijacking a drone, you need first to spot it.
You can see many drones flying around if you go take a walk on the main street. As already stated, a Cargo drone is comparatively a better drone to cover distances and reach far off destinations. These are large, and during night time, its frequency is less. Therefore you need to hack a Cargo Drone.
If you see a Cargo Drone flying over, you have to move your corsair on the drone. Once you do this, a menu will open up. This will give you two options, which are Hijack and Disable. For moving to your destination using the drone, you need to hack it. Disabling the drone will crash it. It is used for distraction and not for moving.
Now in order to hack a drone, you have to press Y. For disabling, which is not actually required here, you have to press A. (If you are playing this game on Xbox).
Using a Hacked Drone
Now you have hacked the drone, and it is in your control. The view now will change to a bird’s eye view, which means what you can see from the drone. The height of the drone can now be controlled. If you drop the drone a bit, you can increase its speed. The angle of the flight can be controlled with the joystick. You can thus move the drone to your destination and can land it in front of you. To get on to the drone, you need to bring it down. Press Lt or RT to bring the drone down. Now walk towards the drone and climb into it.
The drone may not have space for you to climb up. This happens when there are loads of cargo on the drone. Press RB to drop the cargo and to make space for yourself. Once you are on the plane, you can control it using the joystick and your crosshair. Pointing your crosshair towards an object will open up a menu that would let you control your drone action via the object. This feature of Watch Dogs Legion, which lets crosshair be the center of contact with anything, is an amazing feature. It simplifies your control over anything.
Since cargo drones are huge, you cannot escape while in it. But it is more useful than that. You can hack doors or create a distraction while riding a drone.
