Talk about the display, the duo comes with a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display, which produces 1080 x 2400 pixels, at an aspect ratio of 20:9 with 395 PPI density. Besides, both the phones come with a 90Hz refresh rate display to give a smooth user experience. Other features include HDR10+ compatibility and are protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro comes with stereo speakers and a fingerprint scanner on the side of the phone. Under the hood, the phones are powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports Fast charging 30W, USB Power Delivery 3.0, and Reverse charging.

Updated on October 14, 2020: Seems like Asus is joining the big leagues and is rolling out the first Android 11 Beta 1 update for its 2020 flagships, Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro. The update is arriving for the users who have signed up for the public beta testing program. Notably, this is the first beta build of the Android 11 update. We are not sure how many beta builds will be pushed by Asus before the stable version of the update hits the Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro. The update arrives with version number and is a little over 1GB in size.


There are tons of new features as you would expect from an Android 11 update. For instance, there are bubble notifications for messenger apps, an improved Quick Settings panel, more control over app permission, Nearby Share, revamped stock apps like Mobile Manager, Contacts, Phone, File Manager, Calculator, Clock, Gallery, Weather, Sound recorder, Settings, etc. Here is the complete changelog of the Android 11 Beta 1 update for the Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro:

Updated on September 18, 2020: Soon after the launch of Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro. Users are pretty excited to know when the devices will pick up Android 11 updates. Well, as per the latest development, an Asus moderator has shed some light on this information. As per the moderator, the Android 11 updates are already lineup up and planned for the Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro and officially, the information will be shared with the audience. Here is what the actual statement from the moderator reads:

The Android R beta of ZenFone 6 has already started, and the part of ZenFone 7 is already in planning!
We will announce the latest news on ZenTalk as soon as possible.


Updated on September 23, 2020: Asus has recently announced the starting of the beta recruitment for the Android 11 update for the Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro. The supported models for this beta program are ZenFone 7 (ZS670KS) & ZenFone 7 Pro (ZS671KS). The recruitment period begins from September 23 and will continue till October 5, 2020. Till then all those who own an Asus Zenfone 7 and are interested in trying out the Android 11 beta update can register themselves with this program. Those who are selected will be notified via email. As per the official post here are some more details on that:

  • Requirements to participate in this program
    • Own a ZenFone 7 (ZS670KS) or ZenFone 7 Pro (ZS671KS).
    • Be a member of ZenTalk and actively participate in the discussion of ZenFone on ZenTalk.
    • Be able to read and provide feedback in English
    • Be familiar with the Android operating system
    • Didn’t unlock the device before

Those who successfully register for this program will be getting the beta Android 11 update first hand. All the beta testers would have to provide regular feedback so that the company can implement and polish the OS before the stable release. For those who are wondering how they can join this program follow the steps below:

  • Head over to [Setting] > [System] > [System update] and click the gear icon.
  • Now tap on the “Enroll in the Beta Test Program” button under Settings.

  • Note that this option will be available in the firmware version So, make sure that you have the required firmware installed on your phone.
  • Click on Agree and sign up with the Asus members account.
  • Fill in the beta test application and hit the Submit button.
