Advanced GTA V players prefer custom mods and servers to get better multiplayer modification support. Cfx.re has done a tremendous job by releasing FiveM which works quite well with GTA 5. However, several players are encountering a couple of issues with the FiveM loading, voice chat not working, textures not loading, etc. Meanwhile, multiple reports claim that FiveM Scripts Not Working or Loading with GTA V on the PC which becomes frustrating a lot.

If we take a quick look at the Cfx.re forum, it seems that there are plenty of the same reports that have been submitted by the FiveM users. As per reports, it’s not giving any kind of options in resource development & modification. Somehow the scripts don’t load in the FiveM server except for the resources. One of the ridiculous things is that the script looks fine and loads properly. But just get stuck in the loading screen unexpectedly. There might be several possible reasons applicable to such an issue. For instance, a modified or corrupted version of the essential mode, a blank or invalid framework without any support or information, an outdated game version, conflicts with the FiveM cache files, corrupted FiveM installation, and more. Now, let’s get into the troubleshooting methods below.

1. Relaunch FiveM

First, you should try to exit the FiveM application completely and then close the task from the Task Manager. Next, make sure to relaunch FiveM to cross-check if the problem has been fixed or not.

2. Run FiveM as an Administrator

Make sure to run the FiveM app file on your PC as administrator access to allow the User Account Control (UAC) access to the system. In some cases, your system requires the UAC access permission to run a program which is quite important. By following the steps below you’ll have to allow the admin access for once and it won’t ask you for the same again. To do so:

  • Go to the installed FiveM application directory.
  • Right-click on the FiveM application file on your PC.
  • Click on Properties > Click on the Compatibility tab.

  • Click on the Run this program as an administrator checkbox to enable it.
  • Once done, click on Apply and then OK to save changes.

3. Check for GTA V Updates

It’s also worth recommending you simply update the GTA V game on the PC by following the steps below to ensure there is no issue with the outdated game patch version. An outdated game patch version can eventually trigger multiple issues with the game launching, script loading, or even running server resources.

For Steam:

  • Open the Steam client > Go to Library.
  • Click on GTA V from the left pane.
  • It’ll automatically search for the available update.
  • Now, if there is an update available, click on Update.
  • Wait for some time to install the update.
  • Once done, make sure to close the Steam client.
  • Finally, reboot your PC to apply changes, and then try launching the game again.

For Epic Games Launcher:

  • Open the Epic Games Launcher > Head over to Library.
  • Now, click on the three dots icon of GTA V.
  • Make sure the Auto Update option is turned on.

For Rockstar Games Launcher:

  • Open the Rockstar Games Launcher.
  • Click on GTA V from the left pane.
  • Go to the Settings menu > Click on GTA V under My installed games.
  • Now, click on Enable automatic updates to enable it.

4. Scan and Repair the Game Files

Sometimes you might encounter several issues with the script loading or customized server resources via FiveM if the game files become corrupted or missing. In that case, you’ll need to verify and repair the game files on the PC by following the steps below to check for the issue.

For Steam:

  • Launch Steam > Click on Library.
  • Right-click on GTA V from the list of installed games.
  • Now, click on Properties > Go to Local Files.
  • Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files.
  • You’ll have to wait for the process until it gets completed.
  • Once done, just restart your computer.

For Rockstar Games Launcher:

  • Open the Rockstar Games Launcher and sign into the account.
  • Go to Settings > Select GTA V under the My installed games section.
  • Now, click on Verify Integrity under the Verify game file integrity section.
  • Wait for the repair process and then launch the game again.

For Epic Games Launcher:

  • Open the Epic Games Launcher > Click on Library.
  • Click on the three-dots icon of GTA V.
  • Click on Verify and it’ll start verifying the game files.
  • Wait for the process to complete and restart the launcher.

5. Clear the FiveM Cache Folder

Sometimes clearing the FiveM cache files on the PC might help you in stuck with downloading assets or content which will fix script loading issues. You can check the following steps below to do so:

  • Open the Start menu and search for FiveM.
  • Right-click on FiveM from the search > Select Open file location.
  • Now, locate and right-click on FiveM > Select Open file location again.
  • Double-click on FiveM Application Data in the folder.
  • Open the data folder.
  • Press and hold the CTRL key & click on the cacheserver-cache, & server-cache-priv folders.
  • Next, press the Delete key and confirm that you want to delete.
  • Once done, restart your PC, and run FiveM.

6. Run FiveM on Server from Main Menu

Make sure to run FiveM on the server from the main menu to restart the server. It might come in handy to fix such an issue.

7. Remove Corrupted or Incompatible Mods

You’ll also need to remove corrupted or incompatible mods manually to ensure there is no issue with the script loading in GTA V via FiveM mod. Sometimes the incompatible mod might trouble you a lot with the FiveM script loading smoothly.

8. Reinstall FiveM

You might also try uninstalling and reinstalling the FiveM application on your computer by following the steps below. Sometimes reinstalling the program can fix several installation-related issues that can’t be possible with other methods. Though it’s not a permanent solution, there is nothing to do on your end.

  • Press the Win+I keys to open the Settings menu.
  • Go to Apps > Click on Installed Apps.
  • Search and locate FiveM from the installed apps section.
  • Now, click on FiveM to select it > Click on the three dots icon next to it.
  • Click on Uninstall and follow the on-screen prompts to remove FiveM from your PC.
  • Then visit the official FiveM website > Download the latest FiveM installer file.
  • Next, install the FiveM application, and check for the issue again.

9. Contact FiveM Support

Last but not least, you’ll need to contact FiveM Support here to submit the support ticket for the same issue. Make sure to submit the ticket and wait for the resolution from the developers.
