Struggling with the Pal Spheres in Palworld? The action-adventure survival game Palworld, developed by the Japanese studio Pocket Pair, unfolds in an open world map inhabited by creature-like entities known as “Pals.” Supporting solo and up to 32-player online gameplay on one server, the game launched in early access for Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in January 2024. However, the character designs have been compared to those of several Pokemon, and you can’t ignore the similarities. In this guide, we’ll take you through what to do when your Palworld Pal Spheres are not working.
The survival and crafting game Palworld will have you collecting materials along with capturing Pals that populate the massive open world. There are various types of Pals to collect, and you need Pal Spheres to capture them. Just like Pokemon uses Pokeballs, Pal Spheres are used to catch Pals in Palworld. However, players sometimes encounter an issue where their Pal Spheres aren’t working as they’re supposed to. In case you’re also experiencing this problem, you’re in the right place, as we have a guide for you. Let’s find out how to fix the Palworld Pal Spheres Not Working issue.
How to Fix Palworld Pal Spheres Not Working
Palworld players are encountering a bug that stops them from throwing Pal Spheres at wild Pals. Even if you have some Pal Spheres in your inventory, sometimes, they just won’t work. The game tells you that you have no Pal Spheres available, but when you look into your inventory, there’s plenty of them inside.
In such as case, it’s likely that it’s a bug affecting the Pal Spheres. Palworld is still an early-access title, so there are bound to be some glitches that can disrupt gameplay.
Exiting the game and restarting your session won’t work for you, but there’s another fix that you can try to fix the Palworld Pal Spheres Not Working issue. You’ll need to craft some new Pal Spheres on your Workbench. Here are the materials that you need to craft one Pal Sphere:
- 1 Paldium Fragment
- 3 Wood
- 3 Stone
Once you’ve crafted as many Pal Spheres as you need, they should work now. Add the Spheres to your inventory and try to throw them at Pals to capture the creatures. Before you throw the Sphere, you will be able to see the projected throw of the item, which means that it should work.
If this fix doesn’t work, make sure that you’re picking up the newly crafted Pal Spheres from your Workbench, as Palworld doesn’t automatically collect your crafted items for you.
Next, take a look at the Pal Spheres you are using, as there are multiple types of them in Palworld, such as Mega Sphere. You will need to switch back to Pal Spheres in that case. To switch the Sphere type, simply press 2 for PC or Down for the controller.
That’s the end of our guide on how to fix the issue of Palworld Pal Spheres Not Working. Hopefully, this helped you fix the bug and you can get back to collecting all the Pals you want. For more guides on this game, be sure to check out our Palworlds page.
