Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (codename: mido) launched in January 2017. The phone came out of the box with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and later upgrade to Android 7.1 Nougat. Talking about the specifications, Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inches display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 3GB and 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB or 64GB internal memory. Warning: Known Bugs:

  • Camera not working, even when enabling HAL3 manually from build.prop
  • Notification LED not working (LED is working only when charging)
  • Double Tap To Wake not working.


Required ROM and Gapps Package:

Instructions to Flash:

To flash the Android Pie 9.0 GSI on Redmi Note 4, you need the latest TWRP Recovery 3.2.1-1 or higher. If you already have, then make sure to download the above-given links.

  1. First of all, make sure to download and move all the above required ROM packages on your Redmi Note 4 Internal storage.
  2. Extract the file. Complete Guide on How to extract any Zip file on Android devices.
  3. Now reboot your phone into TWRP Recovery and Swipe Allow Modifications (Appears for the first time only)
  4. Once you are in TWRP Recovery, first of all. Take a complete backup of stock or custom ROM using TWRP.
  5. Now wipe the cache, data, and system before flashing the new Android Pie 9.0 on Redmi Note 4.

  7. You can now flash the Mokee OS
  8. To flash MokeeOS on Redmi Note 4: In TWRP Recovery, tap on Install button –> select and swipe to flash.
  9. Now flash the extracted image file on TWRP: Tap on Install Button —> Select the extracted P-DP4 image file –> Swipe to flash TWRP Flash IMAGE File
  10. You have to mount the partition before flashing the remaining POST-sGSI zip file on your Redmi Note 4. Follow the procedure to mount the partition. To mount, Tap on Mount button –> Select System and Vendor. Mount-TWRP-partition
  11. Now you can flash the, and on your Redmi Note 4 –> TWRP –> Install –> select the post-sGSI zip file
  12. Once you are done, now flash the P lag Fix.Zip file.
  13. Again Mount System and vendor partitions just like 10th step
  14. Now flash to fix the incall sound issue.
  15. Now reboot and enjoy Android Pie 9.0 GSI on Redmi Note 4 (mido).
