What is a Custom ROM?

Android Open Source Project (AOSP) by Google even allows non-Pixel Android devices to flash the latest version of Android OS, compatible with ‘Project Treble’. Here Project Treble indicates the devices that are running on Android 8.0 Oreo or higher. So, AOSP Project Treble-compatible Android device users can easily flash the GSI (Generic System Image) file to get an early taste of the new Android OS.
