LineageOS 24 is out. The team announced it on October 11, 2026, and it brings Android 17 to well over 150 phones, tablets and handhelds, including plenty that their makers stopped updating years ago. If your phone is stuck on an old Android version, this is probably the easiest way to get it onto Android 17.
Below you’ll find every device with an official LineageOS 24 build, plus the unofficial builds that community developers have already shared for phones that aren’t on the official list. We’ll keep this page updated as new devices are added.
What is LineageOS?
LineageOS is a free, open-source Android distribution built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). It grew out of CyanogenMod and has been around for nearly a decade now. You get a clean, close-to-stock Android experience without the manufacturer’s apps and skins, along with a few useful extras such as privacy controls and a built-in updater. Its biggest draw is device support: LineageOS regularly brings new Android versions to phones long after the official updates have stopped.
What’s new in LineageOS 24
LineageOS 24 is based on Android 17, which Google released in June 2026. Along with Android 17’s own features, the team added a few things of its own:
- A web installer at flash.lineageos.org. On a Chromium-based browser such as Chrome or Edge, you can flash supported devices straight from the browser over USB. It works with ADB and Fastboot devices, Samsung phones (Odin) and Amlogic TV boxes.
- Canvas, a new photo editor with cropping, white balance and color adjustments, and offline filters.
- A faster updater on A/B devices, which now streams updates straight to the inactive slot instead of downloading a large zip first.
- A redesigned setup wizard and Material 3 Expressive updates across several of the built-in apps.
- Smaller app upgrades: the Jelly browser can create shortcuts for web apps, the Twelve music player gets a “Most Played” section, and the system WebView moves to Chromium 155.
There’s one catch for older phones. LineageOS no longer accepts official LineageOS 23.2 or 24 builds for devices that run Linux kernel 4.4 or 4.9. Those phones stay on LineageOS 22.2 (Android 15), which still gets monthly security updates. Some of them do have unofficial LineageOS 24 builds, which you’ll find further down.

LineageOS 24 official supported devices
These devices are on the official LineageOS 24 roster. Find your phone and its exact codename on the LineageOS device list, which also has the install guide for each model, and grab the build from the official download page. A few devices were still waiting for their first 24.0 build at launch, so if yours only shows 23.2 for now, check again in a few days.

LineageOS 24 unofficial builds
If your phone isn’t on the official list, an independent developer may have built LineageOS 24 for it anyway. These builds aren’t checked by the LineageOS team, so read the thread first, check the known bugs, and make sure the build matches your exact model. A lot of them are early test builds.
Know of another unofficial LineageOS 24 build? Drop the link in the comments and we’ll check it and add it to the table.
Before you install LineageOS 24
- Unlock your phone’s bootloader. Xiaomi, OnePlus, Motorola and most other brands let you do this, though some make you request permission first.
- Back up everything. A clean install wipes the phone, so take a full backup of your photos, contacts and app data before you start.
- Check your codename. Models that look identical can need different builds, and the wrong one can stop your phone from booting.
- Read your device’s wiki page. Some phones need a specific stock firmware version installed before LineageOS 24 will boot.
- Decide on Google apps. LineageOS doesn’t include the Play Store, so if you want it, download a Gapps package that supports Android 17 before you begin.
How to install LineageOS 24
You have three options, depending on where you’re starting from.
Option 1: The web installer
- On a computer, open flash.lineageos.org in Chrome, Edge or another Chromium-based browser.
- Connect your phone with a USB cable and follow the steps for your model.
- The installer flashes the recovery and the ROM for you, and on Samsung phones it handles Odin mode as well.
Option 2: Manual install with ADB sideload
- Install the latest Android SDK Platform Tools (ADB and Fastboot) on your PC.
- Download the LineageOS 24 zip and the matching recovery image for your codename.
- Boot your phone into Fastboot mode and flash the LineageOS recovery.
- Boot into the recovery, choose Factory reset, and then Format data / factory reset.
- Choose Apply update, then Apply from ADB, and run
adb sideload lineage-24.0-xxxx.zip on your PC.
- If you want Google apps, sideload the Gapps package straight after, before rebooting.
- Reboot. The first boot can take several minutes.
Option 3: Upgrade from LineageOS 23.2
If you’re already on an official LineageOS 23.2 build, you can usually upgrade without wiping your data. Back up first, then follow the “Upgrade to a higher version” guide on your device’s wiki page. If you use Gapps, you’ll need to flash an Android 17 package during the upgrade, because Android 16 Gapps won’t work.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn’t my phone on the official list?
A device only gets official builds when it has a maintainer who keeps it up to LineageOS’s standards. Phones on Linux kernel 4.4 or 4.9 can’t get official 24 builds at all and stay on LineageOS 22.2 instead. Check the unofficial table above, as a community build may exist.
Is LineageOS 24 stable enough for daily use?
Official builds generally are, since a device has to meet the project’s requirements to get them. Unofficial builds vary a lot, from polished to early test releases, so read the thread before you flash.
Will banking apps and Google Pay work?
Some apps that rely on Google’s Play Integrity checks may not work with an unlocked bootloader. Test the apps you can’t live without, or keep a way to go back to stock firmware.
Does LineageOS 24 come with root?
No. LineageOS doesn’t include root access. If you need it, you can install Magisk or KernelSU separately.
We’ll keep adding devices as new official and unofficial LineageOS 24 builds roll out, so bookmark this page and check back.
