Android 10 Q Official Supported device, Features, and Downloads

When we talk of evolution in technology, smartphones are one of the first things that cross our mind. A majority of the world’s smartphone runs on Android OS. Speaking of which, the way android OS has developed itself in the last few years is quite inspiring. All these years Google has left no stones unturned to make android OS technologically efficient while keeping the usability simple. That brings us to the all-new Android 10.

Though the previous Android version had a sweet tooth, the tenth iteration of android begs to differ. Yes, the android 10 has no got no sweet dish as its suffix. When the first glimpses of Android 10 Beta came into the limelight, it was otherwise known as Android Q. Later, to have simplification in the nomenclature, Android Q was rebranded as Android 10.

Back in March 2019, the 1st Beta of Android 10 surfaced. It was followed by a 2nd Android 10 beta iteration in April. Subsequently, in May, at the Google I/O 2019 Android 10 beta 3 launched. Beta 4 made its way in June. Then in July, we saw the 5th and 6th Beta iteration. Finally, the timeline comes to an end with the public release of the stable Android 10 in September.

Today, we will discuss the Android 10 Q and all of the cool features it brings. Also, we will highlight the  official list of supported devices

List of Features of Android 10

Now, let’s get into the details of all the amazing features of Android 10.

  • Live Caption: The media that your device is playing gets a caption in the real-time. The media can be a video, podcast, audio message anything. One tap is all it takes. Guess the best thing about it.? Well, to use this feature you do not really need a mobile data connection or Wi-Fi.
  • Smart Reply: Gone are the days when you had to type around a sentence to reply to text messages. Android 10 makes it easier for you to replay to a colleague or any contact with smart replies. When someone text messages you, instead of long sentences, you have options to reply with emojis, short phrases. Also, you get the option to search for a location on Google maps.
  • Gesture Navigation: This feature is no stranger to all Android enthusiasts. However, with android 10 gestures have become more intuitive. To go to the home screen simply swipe up. To go back a page, swipe from left to right or vice-versa. Pull up the scroller on the home screen to activate the Google Assistant. It could not get anymore simpler. That’s Google for you.
  • Dark Theme: This feature is my personal favorite. Believe me, if you are a night owl who is addicted to the smartphone, then this universal dark theme is going to soothe your eyes. Also, it will conserve the precious battery of your smartphone.
  • Support for Foldable Devices: Back in 2019, we came across major OEMs innovating with unique foldable smartphones. Google being the efficient mastermind has tailor-made the Android 10 to support such foldable android devices.
  • Privacy: Google has always been specific about providing the best possible privacy protection to its users. With Android 10 it gets one step ahead. users can find all the Privacy Settings in one place. They even get to decide until when the Web and App activity data will remain on the device. As a user, you get to decide whether or not to share your location.
  • Improved and Faster security updates: This is one of the major highlights of the Android 10. In fact, getting a timely security patch is the concern of every serious Android user out there. So, with the tenth version of android 10, security updates will drop via the Google Play System Updates. You get your fix directly from the Google Play.
  • Focus Mode: This will allow you to disable the distracting apps that are disturbing you while you are busy with some other application. It can be accomplished with a tap when the Focus Mode is on. as of now, this feature is in Beta mode.
  • Digital Wellbeing: Balance is quite important in everything that you do in life. This applies to smartphones as well. We already know what the Digital wellbeing offers and aware the hardcore android user. So, with Android 10 this facility improves further.
