If a person is switching from a non-apple smartphone to iPhone XS, XS Max or XR, they will have their contact information in their old SIM that needs to be imported to the new phone. The problem is that the SIM card may be too small or too big to insert into an iPhone and your iPhone would not be able to recognize it.

To move the contacts from SIM card to an iPhone, you are just required to insert the card to the device and then import the phone numbers to it.

  • Insert your SIM card to iPhone: At first, insert the SIM card that contains all the contacts that you want in your iPhone. Ensure the SIM card matches with the card slot of the device. If the SIM card does not match with the card slot and you still insert the same, you will face a high risk of damaging the device. Once you insert the SIM card to your device, click on ”Power” button to turn on the phone.
  • Import contacts from old SIM to an iPhone: Click on the Settings Button from the Home screen of your phone. Now select contacts and click on ”Import SIM Contacts” to load the list of contacts from the SIM card to your iPhone.
  • Restart your phone: Turn off your phone and remove the SIM card too. Now add the new card and turn the phone on. You will see all the contacts in your address book.
