Block all unknown callers
- Go to Home or Apps screen.
- Open Phone app.
- Tap More options at the upper right (three dots).
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Blocked numbers.
- Turn on Block unknown callers.
Block a particular number
- Go to Home or Apps screen.
- Open Phone app.
- Tap More options at the upper right (three dots).
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Blocked numbers.
- Tap the blinking cursor in the line that says Add phone number.
- Enter the number you want to block.
- Alternatively, you can use Recents or Contacts tabs to select the numbers.
Block a number from the contact list
- Go to Home or Apps screen.
- Open Phone app.
- Tap More options at the upper right (three dots).
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Blocked numbers.
- Tap the Contacts button.
- Select the contact you want to block.
- Tap Done at the bottom.
Alternatively, you can block directly from the Contacts app itself. Here’s how:
- Go to Home or Apps screen.
- Open Contacts app.
- Select the contact you want to block.
- Tap More options at the upper right (three dots).
- Tap Block contact.
- Tap Block to confirm the action.
Block a number from the recent tab
- Go to Home or Apps screen.
- Open Phone app.
- Tap More options at the upper right (three dots).
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Blocked numbers.
- Tap Recents.
- Select the number from the list.
- Tap Done at the bottom.
Check calls and texts from a blocked number
To check call logs:
- Go to Home or Apps screen.
- Open Contacts app.
- Select the contact you want to check.
- Tap History.
To check for incoming texts of a blocked number:
- Go to Home or Apps screen.
- Open the Samsung Messages app.
- Tap More options at the upper right (three dots).
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Block numbers and messages.
- Tap Blocked messages.
Unblock a number on Galaxy S20, S20+ or S20 Ultra
