Apple’s watch is changing up with every new release. What started as just a smartwatch now serves as a tool capable of saving human lives. We have all sorts of sensors in Apple watches that track everything about the human body. There have been instances where an Apple watch was capable to detect irregularities in the heartbeat of a person, which later proved to be life-saving information for that person.
With all these new additions in every iteration, there is one small change with the new watchOS versions that many have overlooked. That is the ability to setup up the app view screen. We usually see the apps on the Apple Watch screen in a grid-like style in many of the ads. Tapping and choosing a particular application on such a screen is quite a hassle, and finding the one you are looking for is not comfortable either. Apple recognized this inefficiency and have now included a list view option for the apps in the Apple Watch. So how do you enable it? Let’s find out in this article.

How to Change Apple Watch App Grid to List View?
The list view option for applications will enable users to see the application in a list in alphabetical order. This makes looking for applications convenient as all you need to do swipe till you get to your app in alphabetical setup. And there is enough space to tap and open the application on the watch too.
Now, this feature is available in both watchOS 6 and watchOS 7. Here we will look at the process for both the versions of watchOS, starting with the most recent watchOS 7.
Browse Apple Watch Apps as a List in watchOS 7:
For watchOS 7 or later users,
- Press the digital crown to power up the home screen of your watch.
- Then tap on Settings.
- Look for the option “App View” here.
- Then tap on the “List view” option and you are done. You will now see all your apps in alphabetical order in a list.
Browse Apple Watch Apps as a List in watchOS 6:
For watchOS 6 users:
- Press the digital crown to power up the home screen of your watch.
- Press and hold on the center of the screen.

If you later decide to go back to the traditional Grid view option, follow the same guide again, but this time instead of choosing “List View,” select “Grid View.”
