Depending on the number of participants, rummy may be played using one, two, or even three regular decks of cards plus jokers. Each player receives 13 cards to use in creating sets or sequences.
Each player takes turns drawing one card from either the open or closed deck and discarding one card to the open deck. After all cards have been dealt, the winner of a game of rummy is determined by who makes the first legitimate declaration.
Negative points are awarded in the card game rummy. In a points rummy game, the winner receives no points, while the loser might get up to 80 penalty points.
What are the rules for Rummy?
