Xiaomi has started pushing the latest firmware update to its Mi 8 Pro UD (Codename: equuleus) Russian variants based on Android 10. As we always mention that Mi 8 Pro UD is one of the first under-display devices that comes in a competitive price tag. The update is labeled with MIUI 18.104.22.168 for Mi 8 Pro UD with software version V22.214.171.124.QECRUXM. You can now download and install it manually.
Now, talking about the new firmware update, it brings the latest April 2020 Android Security Patch Level that improves the system security & stability. Additionally, the update also brings improved app lock support for all apps and revamped start page with optimized features. You can get a full update changelog below. Xiaomi mostly rolls out firmware OTA updates in batches and it can take some time to hit all the units completely. Similarly, the Russian Mi 8 Pro UD variants will take a couple of days or weeks to receive the OTA update notification. If in case, you’re not getting the OTA update notification, then try to check for it via the device Settings > About Phone > Software update.
Alternatively, you can go to the Software Updater app directly to check for the OTA update. If the update is available, then you can download and install it. Make sure to connect your handset to a Wi-Fi network and charge your device more than 60%.
