Updated on October 22, 2020: Today Xiaomi rolled another update for Redmi 8 with build number V11.0.3.0.QCNEUXM based on Android 10. The update brings October 2020 security patch.

Updated on June 02, 2020: Xiaomi Redmi 8 started receiving May 2020 security patch update with software version V11.0.7.0.PCNEUXM. This update bumps the software version from V11.0.6.0.PCNEUXM to V11.0.7.0.PCNEUXM. The OTA is rolling as we speak. Talking about the new MIUI 11.0.6.0 software update having a build no. V11.0.6.0.PCNEUXM for the Redmi 8 model in Europe, it brings the latest March 2020 Android Security Patch Level that offers increased system security and some other bug fixes. Manually Check Software Update

It’s always recommended to check for the OTA update on your device manually in order to get faster update notifications as the incremental OTA update may take some time than usual. So, if you’re one of the Redmi 8 European variant users then simply head over to the device Settings > About Phone > Software Update.
