Updated on January 08, 2021: Today Xiaomi rolled MIUI 12 update for the Redmi 8 with build number V12.0.1.0.QCNEUXM. The update is still based on Android 10.
Updated on October 22, 2020: Today Xiaomi rolled another update for Redmi 8 with build number V11.0.3.0.QCNEUXM based on Android 10. The update brings October 2020 security patch.
Updated on June 02, 2020: Xiaomi Redmi 8 started receiving May 2020 security patch update with software version V11.0.7.0.PCNEUXM. This update bumps the software version from V11.0.6.0.PCNEUXM to V11.0.7.0.PCNEUXM. The OTA is rolling as we speak. If you have not received any update, then you can manually update your device to MIUI 11.0.7.0 by following our guide.
Updated on March 27, 2020: Currently, the MIUI 11.0.6.0 Europe Stable ROM for Redmi 8 is rolling out in batches and all the interested Redmi 8 European variant users can easily download it from here.
Talking about the new MIUI 11.0.6.0 software update having a build no. V11.0.6.0.PCNEUXM for the Redmi 8 model in Europe, it brings the latest March 2020 Android Security Patch Level that offers increased system security and some other bug fixes. It also includes an improved app lock support for all applications which is appreciable. As the OTA update is waving its way in a gradual manner, it’s expected that the update notification should arrive within a couple of days or so.
The Xiaomi Redmi 8 was one of the entry-level budget category smartphones to compete with other budget segment device brands. The Redmi 8 (olive) has pretty amazing hardware specifications with dual cameras, good looking aesthetics, a bigger battery, and more. It came with Android 9.0 Pie on top of MIUI 11 out-of-the-box.

Manually Check Software Update
It’s always recommended to check for the OTA update on your device manually in order to get faster update notifications as the incremental OTA update may take some time than usual. So, if you’re one of the Redmi 8 European variant users then simply head over to the device Settings > About Phone > Software Update.
Alternatively, you can directly go to the Software Updater app on your handset. If any new software update is available for your variant in your region, just download and install it using the Wi-Fi connection. Also, make sure that the phone battery is charged up to 50% minimum.

Steps to Install MIUI Europe Stable ROM for Redmi 8
To install the update manually, make sure to check out the pre-requirements and downloads before flashing.
Pre-Requirements:
- This MIUI Europe Stable ROM file is only supported for the Xiaomi Redmi 8.
- Try to fully charge your device before installing the firmware.
- We will recommend you to take a complete backup of device data without root.
- A PC or Laptop and a USB cable are required.
- Xiaomi USB Drivers – Download and Install it on your PC or Laptop.
