VoWiFi Calling feature enables on Honor 7X in India with the latest update; Honor 7A to get it soon

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has been thorough when it comes to adding new features via OS upgrades, security patches, and feature updates from time to time. A popular feature WIFi Calling has been making a lot of buzz as it lets users connect on a call via Wi-Fi for an HD sound quality. Also known as VoWiFi, the feature is now rolling out for Honor 7X users in India.

Honor is a sub-brand of Huawei and it has already rolled out the VoWiFi feature on a handful of devices including Honor 9 Lite, Honor 20, Honor View 20, and others. With that being said, the Honor 7X is now getting the anticipated VoWiFi calling feature coupled with June 2020 security patch. The update bearing version number 9.1.0.168 (C675E2R1P1) weighing at 736 MB is now available via OTA.

Honor 7X gets VoWiFi

Along with the said features, it brings along a Smart Charge mode that users AI learning to reduce the amount of battery used. It also brings Smart Battery capacity features and a Huawei Assistant on-board.

You should get the OTA notification for the update soon or you can check out “Settings >> System Updates”. Just as with any update, it could take some time to incident on your device.

After the Honor 7X, the Honor 7A is getting the VoWiFi calling feature although it is under development. This was confirmed by users on Honor’s community although the ETA is not available as of now. Citing the gist of the post, it could take some time but Huawei is prompt when it comes to rolling out features so don’t worry.
