South Korean smartphone manufacturer LG is quite slow and isn’t consistent in terms of delivering Android updates or security patch updates to its smartphones. The 2017’s model LG G6 came with Android Nougat out-of-the-box and has received Android Oreo recently. While most of the devices are getting Android Pie update, LG has just started early Pie beta for the G6 model. European and Verizon LG G6 model started receiving Android 9.0 Pie update. The update is live as we speak and labels with build number VS98830a (Verizon LG G6) and H87030a (European LG G6). Along with the Android Pie OS update, both the model integrated with August 2019 security patch and bug fix improvements.
LG G6 Android 9.0 Pie Early Beta Leaked
The firmware update comes with the build number of PKQ1.190421.001 and May 2019 Android Security Patch level. According to the Reddit user, the leaked beta build is quite stable in terms of the bugs or crashes. It runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie version and brings almost every features like swipe gesture navigation control, notification UI, improved icons, screen recorder, dual apps feature, etc.

Check for OTA Updates Manually

- If the update is available for your device, then just Download and Install it.
