Updated on March 23, 2021: Xiaomi released March 2021 security patch update for the Mi 9 Lite globally with a software version labeled with V12.0.6.0.QFCMIXM. The update is still based on Android 10.

Updated on August 30, 2020: Today Xiaomi rolled rerolled the MIUI 12 update with new software version V12.0.3.0.QFCMIXM. The update brings all-new features such as a new improved UI, new animation, super wallpapers, improved dark mode, and many more.

Updated on August 17, 2020: Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite received the latest MIUI 12 globally with software version V12.0.2.0.QFCMIXM. The update brings all-new features such as new improved UI, new animation, super wallpapers, improved dark mode, and many more.

Updated on June 19, 2020: Today Xiaomi rolled the May 2020 security patch to the Mi 9 Lite (Codename: pyxis) globally with version V11.0.3.0.QFCMIXM. The update has no major changes apart from security patch and regular bug fix. If you are using the Mi 9 Lite, you can manually download and install MIUI 11.0.3.0 Global Stable ROM on Mi 9 Lite based on Android 10.

As we speak, the update has already started rolling over the air for users globally in a phased manner. It may take days or weeks to reach every device around the corner. In case, if you are not patient enough to wait, then follow this guide to install the update on your Mi 9 Lite (pyxis).

Manually Check OTA Updates

Before moving to the guide, we recommend you to first check if the OTA is already available for your device manually. To do that, go to the phone Settings > About Phone > Software update. Additionally, you can perform this task via the Software Updater app directly. If the software version is available, you can grab it.

How to Install MIUI 12 Global Stable ROM for Mi 9 Lite (pyxis)

Installing the stock ROM or upgrading the MIUI version on Xiaomi devices is comparatively easy. But you should follow all the pre-requirements and downloads below before proceeding.
