Updated on August 28, 2020: Today Xiaomi finally started rolling the MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8 Pro with version number V12.0.3.0.QGGRUXM. The update brings the latest feature and new UI with an updated security patch.
Xiaomi has started pushing the latest firmware update to its Redmi Note 8 Pro (Codename: begonia) Russian variants based on Android 10 Q. The update is labeled with MIUI 11.0.3.0 for Redmi Note 8 Pro with software version V11.0.3.0.QGGRUXM. You can now download and install it manually.
Now, talking about the new firmware update, it brings the latest May 2020 Android Security Patch Level that improves the system security & stability. Check OTA Updates
Xiaomi mostly rolls out firmware OTA updates in batches and it can take some time to hit all the units completely. Similarly, the Russian Redmi Note 8 Pro variants will take a couple of days or weeks to receive the OTA update notification. If in case, you’re not getting the OTA update notification, then try to check for it via the device Settings > About Phone > Software update.
Alternatively, you can go to the Software Updater app directly to check for the OTA update. If the update is available, then you can download and install it. Make sure to connect your handset to a Wi-Fi network and charge your device more than 60%.
