V12.0.1.0.QECMIXM: MIUI 12.0.1.0 Global Stable ROM for Mi 8 Pro (UD)

Updated on November 13, 2020: Today Xiaomi rolled the MIUI 12 update for the Mi 8 Pro globally with software version V12.0.1.0.QECMIXM. The update brings a lot of new features and optimization to the MIUI 11 ROM.

Updated on July 30, 2020: Today Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro (UD) received a new patch update with software version V11.0.8.0.QECMIXM. Well, this update later pulled back by Xiaomi.

Updated on April 30, 2020: Today Xiaomi rolled the April 2020 security patch to the Mi 8 Pro UD (Codename: equuleus) globally with version V11.0.5.0.QECMIXM. If you are using the Mi 8 Pro, you can manually download and install MIUI 11.0.5.0 Global Stable ROM on Mi 8 Pro.

As we speak, the update has already started rolling over the air for users globally in a phased manner. It may take days or weeks to reach every device around the corner. In case, if you are not patient enough to wait, then follow this guide to install the update on your Mi 8 Pro (equuleus).

Manually Check OTA Updates

Before moving to the guide, we recommend you to first check if the OTA is already available for your device manually. To do that,  go to the phone Settings > About Phone > Software update. Additionally, you can perform this task via the Software Updater app directly. If the software version is available, you can grab it.

Before downloading the OTA update, make sure to charge the phone battery up to 50% minimum and connect to a Wi-Fi network.
