Over the past couple of weeks, Samsung started rolling Android Oreo update for few of their supported device. Today Samsung silently started rolling Android 8.0 Oreo update for Galaxy A9 2016 in Vietnam with the latest security patch. The update is pushed with build number A910FXXU1CRIA brings all Android 8.0 Oreo and other Samsung proprietary features as a part of Samsung Experience 9.0. Well, This is the second major update for the Android Marshmallow pre-installed device and perhaps the last official one.

The update weighs almost 2.09 GB and may vary according to the current Nougat 7.0 build running on your device. It is currently rolling via OTA (over-the-air) in the Vietnam region. The rollout is in a stage-wise manner. It may take some time to reach all over the globe. If you’ve not received an automatic update notification, head over to Settings > Software Update > Download updates manually. You should see the update pop-up, in case you don’t, there’s no reason to worry. As we said, updates usually come in batches and you’d receive the update within a day or two.
