In this guide, we will be listing the map locations and details of certain important islands in the Sea of Thieves. These islands have been classified according to the four regions in the game where they lie – Shores of Plenty, The Wilds, Ancient Isles, and Devil’s Roar.
Xbox Game Studios’ popular action-adventure game, Sea of Thieves, features a number of unique islands that differ in their size, shape, and terrain. Some of them feature tepid jungles full of thick undergrowth, while others have rugged mountains and serene beaches.
Shores of Plenty Island locations
Co-ordinates – E3/E4/F3/F4
This is a gigantic, circular island featuring a deep bay in the center. Ships that manage to enter through the huge slabs of stone flanking the waterway can drop their anchors in the bay.
Co-ordinates – G3/G4
These are two tiny islands with sprawling beaches, trees, and boulders, joined by a stretch of the sandbar.
Co-ordinates – B4/B5/C4/C5
This is a group of smaller islands that surround a much bigger at their center. They feature the right amount of vegetation and beaches.
Co-ordinates – I4
This island has an outcropping of boulders at its center, surrounded by large areas of vegetation traversed by sandy trails.
Co-ordinates – D5/E5
Much of this island lies underwater. Only a part of a sandbar and a little group of trees is seen above the waterline.
Co-ordinates – G5
Apart from rocks, sand, and plants, this island is well known for the shipwreck near its beaches in the south.
Co-ordinates – H6
This is a big island with lots of sandy beaches, large areas of grassland, and a big graveyard of pirates in its center. It has a cave that can only be approached from the north-western side.
Keel Haul Fort
Co-ordinates – C6/D6
Although it is risky to attack the central bay, able pirates can successfully target the walls around the rest of the island.
Co-ordinate -: F7
You can find the main features of the Sanctuary Outpost on the biggest island of the group, located in the center. It features shattered wooden walkways and bridges edging around the smaller islands around it.
The Spoils of Plenty Store
Co-ordinates – B7
This is a little store located on the western side of the Shore of Plenty. It is a good place to sell Plentifins.
Hidden Spring Keep
Co-ordinates – I8
This fortress is surrounded by huge cliffs. At the center of the island, there are sandy beaches, a ruined harbor, and a little pond.
Co-ordinates – G8
This is basically a mundane stretch of sand with a few trees scattered about.
Co-ordinates – D8
This is a treacherously protruding mound of sand that can fatally ram into unaware boats and ships.
Co-ordinates – B9/C9
This is a large, crescent moon-shaped island with a huge bay used to harbor great ships. There is also a cave going all the way through the center of the island.
Rum Runner Isle
Co-ordinates – H9/I9
Make sure you watch out for the relatively shallow waters around this intriguing island.
Co-ordinates – F10/G9/G10
There is a lot to explore on this island, including a substantial rocky peak in the center, huge caves, and an exceptionally tall pier.
North Star Seapost
Co-ordinates – H10
This is an excellent place for stargazing and selling fish.
Golden Sands Outpost
Co-ordinates – D10/D11/E10
This is a group of sandy islands that are linked by a number of wooden walkways. All of them finally lead to the tavern.
Sea Dog’s Rest
Co-ordinates – C11
This tiny island is filled with thick jungles, interspersed with sandy trails and beaches at its edges.
Co-ordinates – H11
These are two little areas of greenery joined by a thin sandbar. They are flanked by the rocky edges of the northern and southern parts of the island.
Co-ordinates – F12/F13/G12
The northern and southern corners of this huge island feature sprawling beaches. The center is filled with greenery, cliffs, caves, and twisted trails.
Co-ordinates – I12/I13
This once uncharted group of isolated islands harbors the fortress for the Reaper’s Bones in its southern part.
Lagoon of Whispers location in Sea of Thieves
Co-ordinates – D12/D13
This is a curiously donut-shaped island divided into four different parts. There are huge patches of boulders in the north, while the southern region is mostly covered in intermittent layers of sand.
Co-ordinates – B13/C13
This huge island features a sprawling beach, freshwater pool, and an exciting area with huge stone pillars.
Sailor’s Knot Stronghold
Co-ordinates – E14
This is separated into two parts by the defenses of the island. You can participate in the battle for Sailors Knot Stronghold at the lower beaches or, the higher fortress.
The Wilds Island Locations
Co-ordinates – Q3/Q4
This consists of two huge islands joined by a gigantic arch of stone. Skilled sailors can sail right under it.
Black Sand Atoll
Co-ordinates – O3/O4
All you will notice here is the distinctly greyish sand and a huge boulder.
Co-ordinates – K4
Rocks surround this curved island on its eastern and western sides. There are plants scattered around its beaches.
Wild Treasures Store
Co-ordinates – O4
Present near the northern edge of the Wilds, this seaport is an excellent place to sell Wildsplashes.
Old Faithful Isle
Co-ordinates – M4/M5/N4/N5
This is a labyrinth of closely arranged rocky cliffs, with sandy trails snaking through it. There are beaches at its northern, eastern, and southern sides.
Black Water Enclave
Co-ordinates – R5
There are substantial rocky outcroppings at its northern edge while serving as fairly effective barriers.
Shark Fin Camp
Co-ordinates – P5
This features a massive fortress constructed at the side of the rocky outcropping in the north. As a result, pirates can only attack from the heavily protected beaches in the southern region.
Co-ordinates – L6
This is a narrow, sloped island with several wooden walkways and stakes to defend the fort from assaults.
Blind Man’s Lagoon
Co-ordinates – N6
This is a tiny island with rocks, sand, and greenery. It has a little lagoon in its middle portion.
Co-ordinates – Q6
This is a flat island that extends from the south-west to north-east. It has a tiny aggregation of boulders at its topmost edge.
Co-ordinates – O7/P7
This is a huge island that surrounds a large cave with circle-shaped rocks and tinier islands.
Dagger Tooth Outpost
Co-ordinates – M7/M8/N7/N8
This is one of the only two outposts in The Wilds. A gigantic rocky outcropping and a moist wreck protect both of its sides, respectively.
Galleon’s Grave Outpost
Co-ordinates – R8
You will notice the anterior portion of a smashed galleon hanging above this island, stuck between two great rocks. All the regular outpost facilities are available here.
Isle of Last Words
Co-ordinates – O9
This is a little area of sand flanked by four gigantic rocky peaks.
Three Paces East Seapost
Co-ordinates – S9
This is a port located near the eastern portion of The Wilds.
Co-ordinates – P9
The huge fort is connected to smaller islands nearby via large bridges. Huge walls of stone guard the western part of this region.
Co-ordinates – R10
This island is appropriately titled after the three huge rocky outcroppings located near the three corners of this triangle-shaped isle.
Co-ordinates – M10/M11
This is a huge island surrounded by a circle of treacherously placed boulders. There is a huge mountain in its middle and a noticeable shipwreck in the east.
Co-ordinates – S11
This is a tiny island extending from east to west. It ends in a little cliff stretching out over the sea.
Co-ordinates – Q11
This island features some uneven terrain. You will notice greenery present all along its little spine.
Co-ordinates – O11
You should not take this island lightly. Jagged rocks surrounding it pose a significant danger to incoming ships. The island itself shelters venomous snakes and steep drops that can destroy unaware sailors.
Co-ordinates – R12/R13
This is a huge island with large bays and rocky peaks in the middle region.
Shark Tooth Key
This little island curiously resembles a shattered anchor. It features huge boulders and trees grouped together.
Ancient Isles Island Locations
Co-ordinates – K14
This is a little bit thick jungle that has sandy beaches around it.
Co-ordinates – I14
There is a lagoon in the middle of this island. It retains the connection to the sea and thus is not an ideal place to drink or fish from.
Fort of the Damned
Co-ordinates – L14
Once known as the Old Boot Fort, this island is perpetually covered in mist. You will have to face one of the most ferocious battles in Sea of Thieves right over here.
Co-ordinates – O15/O16
The most remarkable feature of this little sandy island is a huge stony outcropping. There are also dense woods upon the island.
Co-ordinates – L15/L16
This is a port right in the middle of the Ancient Isles. It is a good place to sell Ancient Scales.
Co-ordinates – K15/K16
This is a group of three islands traversed by large waterways. All of them feature sandy beaches and thick jungles in their middle region.
Co-ordinates – I16
This isle harbors a few chickens and large amounts of vegetation, with some huge boulders in the beaches down south.
Co-ordinates – M16/N16
This island gets its name from the huge network of caves running throughout it. You will be able to access it from the bay, a huge hole in the middle, and from behind the waterfall.
Co-ordinates – G16
This island is titled after the valley that stretches from west to east across it. It features expansive mountainous terrain, with a large number of interesting caves and cliffs.
Co-ordinates – D17/E17
The most distinguishing feature of this ridge is the line of old shipwrecks near its eastern area.
Ancient Spire Outpost
Co-ordinates – Q17
You can get a beautiful panoramic view of the sea from the tavern atop the spire here.
Co-ordinates – L17
This is a tiny island consisting of two areas of thick jungle joined by a sandy beach. There is a little rock-pool in the bigger area.
The Finest Trading Post
Co-ordinates – F17
This is located near the edge of the Ancient Isles. It is a good place for selling Ancient Scales on your way to The Shores of Plenty.
Lost Gold Fort
Co-ordinates – H17/I17
This is a sprawling fort constructed on top of a tiered cliff island. It is wreathed in thick vegetation and winding staircases.
Crow’s Nest Fortress
Co-ordinates – O17/O18
Gigantic watch towers and strong walls defend this fort very securely. The pool in the middle is helpful in holding your ground against attacking Golden Skeletons.
Co-ordinates – M18
This is a small sandy stretch with trees upon it. The water surrounding it is treacherously shallow and can entrap unfortunate ships.
Co-ordinates – J18/K18
This Outpost lies at the base of a huge rugged mountain. It features a number of shops and taverns, with some jungles and beaches in the vicinity.
Old Salts Atoll
Co-ordinates – F18/F19
There is a prominent ancient shipwreck in the middle of this little island. The waters around it are shallow and feature stretches of sand and vegetation.
Co-ordinates – P19
This harbors a large waterfall, behind which runs an elaborate network of caves from the beaches to the peak of the ridge.
Co-ordinates – N19
This group of islands has likely been titled after the huge boulder in the east. It features sandy beaches and clusters of vegetation.
Shark Bait Cove
Co-ordinates – H19/H20
This is one of the most distinctive islands in the Sea of Thieves. It is basically an arrangement of ring-shaped strips of land adorned with foliage and channels of water.
Co-ordinates – L20/M20
There is a deep water cove beneath this island that serves as an ideal place of concealment for pirates and their ill-gotten gains.
Co-ordinates – I20/J20
This is a narrow island with huge rocky cliffs in its western area and sandy beaches in the northern and southern regions.
Co-ordinates – K20
This is a little island covered with trees and thick foliage, interspersed with sandy trails.
Devil’s Roar Island Locations
Co-ordinates – U23/V23
This island has a formidable-looking volcano. What you need to truly worry about, however, is the barrage of cannons aimed right at the northern shores.
Co-ordinates – Y12
This is a little shop surrounded by beautiful red crystals, located in the northern region of Devil’s Roar. It is a good place to sell your Devilfish.
Co-ordinates – X18/Y18
This is a pretty mundane heap of sand that does not provide any significant shelter from forces of nature or prowling sea dogs.
Co-ordinates – U14
This is a small group of islands located between two active volcanoes. All these features are sand and some woody plants.
Co-ordinates – Y13
This is a donut-shaped island that is basically covered in sand and crystal outgrowths. However, it does offer you shelter from volcanic eruptions.
Co-ordinates – W21
There is a huge rocky peak at the center of this big island, dwarfed by the gargantuan volcano situated at the southwestern beach.
Co-ordinates – V12
This is a huge island with active volcanoes, separated into two parts. It has both sandy and rocky coasts, dying foliage, and a number of sandy walkways running along.
Co-ordinates – V19
This is a little V-shaped island with a huge stony outcropping near its western region. You will get a nice panoramic view of the large volcano near its south.
Co-ordinates – W14/W15
This is a large peninsula that is divided into three parts. The waters between them are shallow and treacherous for sailing. The fearsome volcano in the vicinity makes it all the more dangerous.
Co-ordinates – T16/U16
Despite the formidable-looking stony outcropping, this place is fairly safe due to the lack of volcanoes.
Co-ordinates – Z18
This sandy island is situated near the distant edge of the map. It also features a rocky corridor in its eastern portion.

This is a little island noticeably featuring a huge stony outcropping in its middle and little cliffs near its southern portion.
Molten Sands Fortress
Co-ordinates – Z11/Z12
If you are looking forward to a formidable challenge in terms of martial and sailing talents, this fort crafted into the side of a deadly volcano is just the right place for you.
Co-ordinates – V17
This is a treacherous outpost that is present at the side of an active volcano. You will find a good selection of the usual services here.
Co-ordinates – U21
You will find traces of red crystals in the vast boulders present near the northern region of this little island.
Co-ordinates – U20
This is a tiny pier located near the eastern edge of the Devil’s Roar. You will get some solace from all the volcanoes here. It is also a good place to sell the fish you might have caught.
Co-ordinates – Y16
This place is titled after its huge, dangerous walkways. It features perilous cliffs and a terrible volcano in its western area.
Co-ordinates – X11
This is a little island with thin sandy paths and dry foliage. There is a prominent stony outcropping in its western area.
