The game has players take over a dilapidated farm that’s located in Stardew Valley. Your objective is to make new friends, grow crops, raise livestock, mine for ore, craft goods, sell produce, get married, and have some children of your own. Sounds like a nice calm life that’s away from all the bustle and hustle of the city? Well, you can have all this in Stardew Valley, and also ask three of your friends to join in a multi-player mode.
Luau is basically a summer festival that takes place in The Beach, Stardew Valley, on the 11th Summer between 9 AM and 2 PM. During the Luau, you can socialize and become friends with several of the townspeople at the same time. You will take advantage of the festival and raise friendship levels with the folks from Pelican Town. Instead of only focusing on the person, you can get a whole town to like you in one go.
One of the things you’ll need to do during the festival is to add an ingredient to the Potluck soup. It’s very important that you choose a good ingredient. Do this, and you’ll be friends with everyone, including the Governor. If you choose the wrong ingredient, you’ll then become unpopular among the townspeople. Below, you will find a list of ingredients that you must not add to the potluck soup.
Potluck Soup – Ingredients not to add
The Potluck soup is shared with the Governor, so it is important that you choose the right ingredients. To add an ingredient, you will have to walk to the cooking pot, use the select action, and then choose an ingredient available in the bag. After this, the Governor will have the soup, and you will be able to judge from the reaction. If it’s good and he enjoyed it, then you will become friends with all the villagers and your relations will get better. If the soup isn’t as good as expected, then there will be no change to your relationships. However, if the soup turns out to be really bad, then your friendship level with the villagers will take a hit.
Therefore, to make the soup taste good, you have to make sure that you don’t add the following ingredients:
- Anchovy
- Blackberry
- Carp
- Crocus
- Daffodil
- Field Snack
- Green Algae
- Herring
- Holly
- Joja Cola
- Pufferfish
- Red Mushroom
- Salmonberry
- Sap
- Scorpion Carp
- Sea Cucumber
- Seaweed
- Spring Onion
- Sunfish
- Sweet Pea
- Unmilled Rice
- Void Mayonnaise
- White Algae
Avoid the above, and your soup will be good, which will improve your friendship with the townspeople. If you would like to enjoy a unique cutscene, try adding a pair of shorts to the potluck. This will not affect the taste or the friendship levels.
