Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is a free-to-play online battle royale video game by Infinity Ward and Raven Software that has greatly changed the gaming industry. It mostly says zero battle pass tokens which are unacceptable. The same thing is also happening to the weapons in Warzone 2 because after upgrading the specific weapon, players received gold but the weapon level remains the same or goes down. So, affected players have found out some of the workarounds that should re-appear the lost tokens back again.

We should mention that previously this same glitch or bug has been fixed in Modern Warfare II Season 1. But the same issue has revived once again and troubled a lot of players across all platforms. Mostly the PC and PS4 platform users are reporting this glitch repeatedly. Luckily, we’ve mentioned a couple of troubleshooting methods below to fix such an issue. So, without wasting any more time, let’s jump into it.

1. Exit and Relaunch the Game

First, you’ll need to exit the Call of Duty Warzone 2 game and then relaunch it to check whether the problem has been fixed. Sometimes the temporary glitch or cache data issue can be problematic for some users.

2. Reboot the Gaming Device

It’s highly recommended to restart the gaming device irrespective of whatever you’re using to play Warzone 2. A simple reboot of the system can eventually clear stored cache data or temporary glitches from the system. Some of the players did find this trick helpful to fix this issue.

3. Update Warzone 2

Another thing you can do is to check for available patch updates manually from the respective option because an outdated game version can trouble players with the launching and other inventory syncing. It’s better to always check for updates at your end.

Xbox:

  • Go to Warzone 2 on the Xbox dashboard.
  • Hit the Start button and select Manage Game and Add-ons.

PlayStation:

  • Select Warzone 2 on your PlayStation home screen.

For Battle.net:

  • Launch the Battle.net app on the PC.
  • Log in with your Battle.net account.
  • Select Call of Duty: Warzone II.
  • Make sure to follow the on-screen steps to install or update the game (if available).

For Steam:

  • Open the Steam client > Go to Library.
  • Right-click on Warzone 2 > Select Properties.
  • Then click on Updates > From Automatic Updates, make sure to select Only update this game when I launch it.
  • Now, launch Warzone 2, and wait for it to download whenever available.
  • Go back to the Updates section > Select High Priority – Always auto-update this game before others (if you want).

4. Scan and Repair the Game Files

Reproducing the installed game files on your PC is also recommended using the battle.net or Steam client. Sometimes corrupted or missing game files can cause several issues with the game launching and server connectivity. Here the server connectivity indicates inventory or battle pass token syncing to the account.

For Battle.net:

  • Launch the Battle.net desktop app.
  • Locate the COD: Warzone II game from the library.
  • Select Options > Click on Scan and Repair.battle.net scan and repair error
  • Wait for the repair process to be done.
  • Finally, restart the game to check for the issue again.

For Steam:

  • Open Steam > Go to Library.
  • Right-click on Warzone 2 in your library.
  • Go to Settings > Select Properties.
  • Click on Local Files > Select Verify integrity of game files.
  • Wait for the process to complete.

5. Check Out the Activision Online Services

You should check out the Activision Online Services Status here to ensure no server downtime or service outage is happening at that moment. In case, there is an issue with the server activities, you’ll have to wait for some time until the problem has been resolved. Currently, no server issue is happening at the time of writing this article.

6. Log Out and Log Back Into the Activision Account

You can also log out of your Activision account and then log back into the account again to check if the problem has been fixed or not.

  • Visit the Activision website and log into the valid account.
  • Click on PROFILE at the top-right corner.
  • From the ACCOUNT LINKING section, you’ll find out your profile.
  • Click on the Linked Accounts option.
  • Now, you’ll see all the linked accounts.
  • Click on the Unlink button > Wait for a couple of minutes.
  • Finally, sign into the account again.

7. Re-Link the Activision ID

A couple of reports are claiming that your COD: Warzone 2 game may crash or battle pass tokens disappear whenever you fail to connect to the servers. It’s better to link your Blizzard account with the Activision account by following the steps below.

  • Visit the Activision website and log into the valid account.
  • Click on PROFILE at the top-right corner.
  • From the ACCOUNT LINKING section, you’ll find out your profile.
  • Ensure to link it with your Blizzard Battle.net account.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed and then try launching the game again.

8. Uninstall and Reinstall COD Warzone 2

You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the COD: Warzone 2 on the respective device by following the steps below. Reinstalling the game might help in fixing the potential glitch or game file installation issues up to some extent.

For PC:

  • Open the Battle.net client.
  • Select Call of Duty: Warzone 2 from the left panel.
  • Choose the Options menu on the left side.
  • Click on Uninstall Game > If prompted, confirm the uninstallation process.
  • Once done, close the Battle.net launcher, and reboot the PC.
  • Then open the Battle.net launcher again > Start installing COD: Warzone 2.
  • Click on the Options menu > Select Modify Install.
  • Select the mode that you want to install and select Confirm.
  • Finally, select Start Install > Wait for it to complete.

For Xbox:

  • Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the Guide menu.
  • Select My Games and Apps > Hit See All > Choose Games.
  • Then select the Ready to Install tab > Select Queue.
  • Select the Warzone 2.0 game that you’re trying to reinstall.
  • Now, press the Menu button on your controller.
  • Select Manage Game & add-ons or Manage App.
  • Choose Warzone 2.0 > Select Uninstall all.
  • Select Uninstall All to confirm the task.
  • Wait for the uninstallation process to complete.
  • Reboot the system to apply changes.
  • Press the Xbox button on the controller to open the Guide menu again.
  • Hit My Games and Apps > Select See All > Go to Games.
  • Select the Ready to Install tab > Hit Install for Warzone 2.
  • Wait for the installation process, and then restart the console.

For PlayStation:

  • Open the PlayStation home menu > Go to Settings.
  • Choose Storage > Select Games and Apps.
  • Select Delete Content > Choose the Warzone 2.0 game.
  • Select Delete > Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation process.
  • Finally, reboot the console, and reinstall the game from the PlayStation Store.

9. Contact Activision Support

If none of the methods worked for you then make sure to contact Activision Support for additional help. You should also create a support ticket for the same to get a better resolution asap. The chances are high that developers will try investigating this issue and fixing the same. You might have to wait further to get it resolved.
