Xiaomi launches the A series smartphones based on Android One. These smartphones attract a good number of customers due to many facts. The major reasons are the Stock Android experience they provide, and their bang for buck specifications. The last smartphone released under A series was the Mi A2, which offered great specs for its price and had one of the best cameras in its price range. The Mi A3 will be a successor to it, so we can expect some great specifications for the price it will carry.
XDA-developers reveal in their latest reports that the Mi A3 will come with an under display fingerprint sensor. According to XDA-developers, Xiaomi has started testing 3 new smartphones, two of which will be Android One phones. The three smartphones are codenamed "pyxis", "bamboo_sprout" and "cosmos_sprout". The latter two are suspected Android One smartphones. Every Android One phone has "sprout" in its name in the list of Google Play Android One smartphones. The former one is expected to be the Chinese variant of the phones. Because of their cheap prices, they might come with an optical in display fingerprint sensors. They are not as secure as ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, but even most of the flagship phones in the market today have an optical fingerprint sensor.
These phones might probably come with 32MP front cameras with 4 in 1 binning support. Rest specifications of the phone are not known as of now. They might be powered with Snapdragon 675 or 710 or even the 712 Soc, as then it will be considered as a serious upgrade over its predecessor. Stay tuned for any future updates!
