Quick Fix: Android stuck in Recovery Mode: No Command screen
Sometimes it can also be possible that your device firmware update or installation gets failed and that’s why the error starts occurring on the handset. Here we’ve shared with you a couple of possible workarounds that should help you out.
1. Force Restart your Android Device
Well, during installing firmware updates manually on your Android device, sometimes it may be stuck into the Fastboot Mode with a ‘No Command’ error message due to failed process. You should try forcefully restarting your handset to check for the issue. To do this:
- Press and hold the Volume Down + Power buttons together for a few seconds until the device boots into recovery mode.
- Now, use the Volume keys to navigate through the options.
- Then press the Power button to select Apply update from the cache.
- Choose the available update and install it manually by pressing the Power key.
- Wait for the process to complete then restart the device.
2. Try Entering in Fastboot Mode
The second thing you can try is to simply enter into the Fastboot mode by using hardware key combinations on your handset by following the steps below. Depending on the device model or brand, you can try performing all key combinations as following one by one to check which one works for you and boot the device into the recovery mode.
- Long-press the Volume Up + Power buttons together for a few seconds.

- Long-press the Volume Down + Power buttons together for a few seconds.

- Press and hold the Volume Up + Power + Home buttons together for a few seconds.

- Press and hold the Volume Down + Power + Home buttons together for a few seconds.
Once your device boots into the recovery mode, make sure to use Volume keys to navigate and the Power key to select or confirm the task whatever you want to do. 3. Remove Phone’s Battery (If Applicable)
There is another possible way to fix the no-command issue on your Android device is simply removing the battery from your handset (if possible). To do so:
- First of all, switch off the phone > Wait for some time until the device turned off completely.
- Then remove the back panel of the device and pull out the battery safely. [If possible]
- Now, wait for a couple of minutes or so, and then put the battery back into the Android device again. [Make sure that no other hardware parts get damaged]
- Finally, switch on your handset, and see whether the problem has been fixed or not.
You can also ask a professional mobile repair person to perform this method if your device has a non-removable battery or the back panel can’t pull out easily to keep things intact.
