If you are into unlocking the bootloader or rooting your phone then, surely you might have heard and used the term Download mode or Recovery mode. These menus are very important to perform and execute various actions on your devices. This includes sideloading apps, ROMs, unbricking your phone, etc. Though Samsung had a pretty simple way of entering the download or recovery mode previously because, after the launch of the Galaxy Note 10 series, Samsung has eventually decided to let go of the Bixby button.

Download mode, also known as Odin mode, is a mode for SAMSUNG devices only. It is a state that allows you to flash firmware through Odin or other desktop software. The mode allows Samsung users to flash stock firmware, modem, bootloader, pit files, and sometimes the root package files or custom recovery files with the help of their PC. For this purpose, users can utilize the tool named as Odin3. Hence, this mode is also known as the Odin3 mode.
