Boot into safe mode

1. Power off the device
2. Press and hold power button
3. When you see the Xiaomi logo release the power button, press and hold volume down button
4. Release the button when you see safe mode on the bottom left corner

If the screen flickering issue doesn’t occur when in safe mode, this is an issue caused by a third-party app. In this case, the solution is removing the problem causing app.

Clear cache partition

1. Power off the device
2. Press and hold power button and volume up button
3. Use volume buttons to highlight wipe & reset and use power button to select
4. Choose, wipe cache
5. Select yes option when prompted

Hard reset

1. Open settings
2. Scroll down and tap on back & reset
3. Tap on factory data reset
4. Now tap on Reset phone
5. Tap on erase everything
