As mentioned above, the problem could be with the device, the PC, or the gaming console it is connected to. It is hard to pinpoint the issue for every user. So you need to try all the solutions mentioned here and see which one works for you.

Try using a different USB port:

For connecting the headset to the PC, we have USB port connectivity. If you are trying to use only one particular USB for your headset, you should consider changing the USB port on your device. You will have multiple USB ports for connectivity, and you need to try and use all of them and check whether one does the trick for you. Do not stick to one particular USB port.

If trying out the other USB ports does not solve your detection problem with the HyperX Cloud 2, move on to the next solution.

Update the audio drivers:

  • Enter “devmgmt.msc” in the dialog box and click the Ok button.

  • Once it finds an update, it will automatically install the latest Bluetooth drivers on your computer.

To update the audio drivers manually, go to your system manufacturer’s website and look for your system model’s audio drivers. Download and install them directly onto your device and restart the system.

You can also perform the update using a third-party program that scans your entire computer for outdated drivers. If it finds that the audio drivers are obsolete, it will automatically get you the latest audio drivers on your computer. These utility programs charge a bit for their service, but it is worth it since you never need to worry about outdated drivers on your computer again.

Try the next solution if updating the drivers does not fix your problem.

Use the sound troubleshooter:

Windows has a troubleshooter utility tool that can scan the computer for any known issues and try to fix them for the user. If the troubleshooter can’t fix the problem, it will at least display information to the user about what is wrong with the Windows system. So, you could use the audio troubleshooter for the sound issue with the HyperX Cloud 2.

  • Press Windows Key + I and then select Update & Security from the list of options.
  • Then click on the Troubleshooting tab in the left pane.

If even does not help with the sound issue, try the next solution.

Update firmware:

You might be able to fix your sound problem with the HyperX cloud 2 headphones by updating the firmware on the device.

But updating the firmware is an advanced procedure, and any error during installation could result in irreversible damage to the headphones. So try this method with caution.

To update your headphone firmware, go to HyperX’s website for firmware download options for the HyperX Cloud 2 device. You will also find the instructions to install the firmware on it. Follow the instructions cautiously, and you will not face any issues with the device.
