How to lock Bootloader on Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL

Google Pixel 2 devices come with good promising configurations. So experimenting with this like a custom ROM installation can be very much beneficial for you as a user. But for doing things like this the most basic thing you should do is unlocking the Bootloader of your device. By default, the Bootloader is locked for many security reasons. So if you are experimenting with the device you should manually unlock the Bootloader of the device. So if you have already unlocked and is looking for a way to lock it back, we can help you. Steps to lock Bootloader on Google Pixel 2

  1. Power off the device
  2. Press and hold power button and volume down button to boot into fastboot mode
  3. Connect your device to PC
  4. Open command window on the ADB folder by pressing shift + right click
  5. Enter the command ‘fastboot flashing lock‘
  6. On your device select Lock Bootloader option when prompted
  7. Reboot the device and set it up

  1. Power off the device
  2. Press and hold power button and volume down button to boot into fastboot mode
  3. Connect your device to PC
