Google has unveiled the final latest version of Android 8.0 known to be Android Oreo.The announcement was made by the company on the evening of 21 August 2017, which was also the day when biggest solar eclipse to occur in the United States in almost 100 years.In this event, Google has announced that the latest version of Android will be called after famous sweet treats named Oreo and the update also will roll out to Pixel and Nexus devices soon. These devices include Pixel and Pixel XL devices, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5s and some other devices.
Now as the latest version of Android is released, every Android enthusiast is eagerly waiting for the update but the update is not expected to come from any device manufacturer officially very soon.But by the end of the year hardware makers like Essential General Mobile, HTC, LG, Motorola, OnePlus, Samsung and Sony are scheduled to be launching or upgrading new devices to 8.0 oreo.

In order to flash the Android ROMs and get the full experience, a package named as Gapps(Google Apps) is needed which include Play Store, Google Maps, Google play service and all other Google app in a zip file. So, now we have received the Gapps package for Android 8.0 Oreo which can be flashed whenever you flash any custom ROM which consists of Android Oreo.
At this moment, Gapps for all processor architecture has not been developed.Only arm Gapps are available. Since the AOSP 8.0 Oreo sources are very new.That’s why Gapps for Oreo is less available. Method To Install Android 8.0 Oreo Gapps Package ROMs
- First, download Android Oreo Gapps and store it on your device.
- Today boot your phone into Recovery Mode.
- Now, if you’re using TWRP recovery click on ‘Install’ and choose Gapps package or if you’re using CWM recovery then click on install zip from sd card and select Gapps package from your storage.
- Once you are done with selecting the Gapps, simply flash the zip file.
- Now clear Dalvik Cache and Cache after flashing the Gapps.
- Done!
