OnePlus Nord Software Update: OxygenOS 12 F.17 (November 2022 | Android 12)

OnePlus has finally released its much-hyped, OnePlus Nord smartphone. The company will be foraging into a new category, the mid-range category, with the OnePlus Nord. The phone comes equipped with the latest 5G technology and chips in the mid-range Snapdragon 765G processor. OnePlus has tried to include all the best possible tech, obviously considering the price point. And we do have to say the phone is one of the best phones if you considering a mid-range phone.

OnePlus Nord comes with Android 10 out of the box and a day-one update has also been released for the phone. This update brought in some new enhancements and optimization for the camera features of the phone. Well, we all know that OnePlus does not has a strong foothold in the camera department. And it is nice to see that the company is making efforts to bring the best user experience to its users via software updates.

This post will give you the details of all the updates, whenever released for the OnePlus Nord. There can be several users who have not received the update via OTA. Their best bet is to download the update file manually and locally upgrade the phone. We will try to include the download link to the update files as well, if available. So, with that being said, let us take a look at the article itself;

OnePlus Nord – Device Specifications

OnePlus Nord is powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset which is 5G enabled. The phone is coupled with 6-12 GB of RAM and offers storage options of 64/128/256 GB. OnePlus Nord does not have a dedicated microSD card slot. The phone sports a 6.44-inch display with 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 ratio, and 408 PPI. The device has the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and features a 90Hz refresh rate with
HDR10+ display.

It comes with Android 10 OxygenOS 10 out of the box and with a remarkable OnePlus software update policy, this phone is eligible to receive Android 11, 12, and even 13 updates, whenever that comes out. FYI, OnePlus offers 3 major firmware updates along with 3 years of security updates, which is the best in class alongside Google Pixel.

In the camera department, OnePlus Nord features a quad-camera setup. It has a 48 MP primary lens, 8 MP ultrawide, 5 MP depth, and 2 MP microlens. It can record 4K video @30fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps, and also has gyro-EIS. In the front, a dual-camera setup is housed in a dual-punch hole display. OnePlus Nord comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner, and a 4115 mAh battery with Fast charging support up to 30W.

How To Check For Software Update on OnePlus Nord

Before you go ahead and flash the update manually on your phone, it is always advised to check the update via OTA. This makes the process much easier than to do labor for manually updating your phone. In order to check for the update OTA:

Open Settings.
Tap on System Updates.
Tap Check for updates.
If a new update is available to tap on Download.
