Updated on March 31, 2020: The Chinese OEM OPPO has promised with the update timeline that the Oppo RX17 Pro will receive the Android 10 ColorOS 7 trial update on March 27. As the mentioned date is already passed away, a couple of RX17 Pro users have asked that when will the update will arrive. Then the official ColorOS Twitter handle has mentioned the first batch of the beta update has been released already.
While the upcoming version will be more improved than the previous one. Developers are working hard to improve the system, feedback given by the existing ColorOS 7 beta users. In the end, there is no specific word mentioned for the Oppo RX17 Pro ColorOS 7 beta by the ColorOS Global officials. So, basically, the company is trying to say that the development process is still going on and it will take some time.

The Oppo RX17 Pro (also known as Oppo R17 Pro) was unveiled back in November 2018 with Android 8.1 Oreo on the top of ColorOS 5.2 skin. Oppo has launched its new custom skin version called ColorOS 7 officially a couple of months ago. What’s on Android 10?
Google has announced the 10th iteration of Android OS in September 2019. It comes with several features and system improvements. To be very specific, the Android 10 version mainly offers better user experience and privacy/security features.

Oppo RX17 Pro Android 10 ColorOS 7 Update Status
Recently, ColorOS Global has tweeted officially about the Android 10 based ColorOS 7 beta testing program for the devices like Reno2 Z, Reno2 F, RX17 Pro, F7 series, A9 2020, A5 2020, R15 series, K3, F9 series, etc. While the ColorOS 7 trial version ongoing in batches for the Reno 1st-gen, Reno 10x Zoom, Reno2, F11 series, Find X series, R17 series, A9, Reno Z devices.
Oppo RX17 Pro: Overview
It came with a 6.4-inches AMOLED display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The handset is equipped with a Snapdragon 710 SoC, Adreno 616 GPU. It’s paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage that is expandable via a hybrid SIM slot. The device sports a 3,700mAh battery with 50W SuperVOOC flash charging.
It packs a triple rear camera setup of a 12MP (wide, f/1.5-f/2.4) lens + a 20MP (autofocus, f/2.6) lens + a TOF 3D depth camera with dual-LED flash, HDR, Panorama, OIS, Dual Pixel PDAF, etc. On the front side, the device packs a 25MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens and HDR mode.
It has dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, NFC, USB 3.0 Type-C port, USB OTG, etc. The handset features an optical under-display fingerprint sensor, an ambient light, an accelerometer, proximity, and compass sensor.
