Common problems such as lagging, freezing, and stuttering keep stressing us regardless of how much we have spent on our phones. In most cases, factory resetting the phone can easily fix these software issues. This guide will look at how to perform a factory reset on Nothing Phone 1.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ 5G chipset, coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

The Nothing Phone 1 boot Nothing OS skin is based on Android 12. It features a dual camera setup on the rear side that includes a 50MP primary lens with f/1.9 aperture and OIS and a 50MP ultrawide lens with a 114-degree field-of-view. The rear camera setup can capture 4K videos at 30fps and 1080p videos at 30/60fps. On the front, we have a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calls. The device is packed with a 4,500mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging. It also supports 15W wireless and 5W reverse wireless charging. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

How to Perform Factory Reset on Nothing Phone 1

Here are the steps you need to follow to factory reset the Nothing Phone 1:

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Scroll down and find System. Tap on it.
  3. Tap on Reset options.
  4. Click Erase all data (factory reset).
  5. Tap on Erase all data. If you set a lock-screen password, you need to enter it. Otherwise, the factory resetting process will being.

This process removes everything on your phone, including the data stored on internal storage. It may take a couple of minutes for the factory resetting process to finish. Once it is done, you need to set up the phone, just like you did when you turned on the phone for the first time.

How to Hard Reset Nothing Phone 1

If rebooting the device does not fix the problem, you should hard reset your phone. The factory reset removes all data from your phone, while the hard reset does not remove any data. Hence, a factory reset should be applied when other solutions have failed.

  1. Press and hold the power and volume up buttons until the power menu appears.
  2. select Power off.
  3. Press and hold the volume up and power button simultaneously for 5 seconds. Once you see the Nothing logo on the screen, release all the buttons. The phone will enter into recovery mode.
  4. Now, press the power button and then the volume up.
  5. Use the volume buttons to navigate the Wipe data/factory reset option. Press the power button to select it.
  6. Again, use the volume buttons and go to the Factory data reset option. Tap the power button to select it.
  7. Once the process is complete, navigate to the Reboot system now option and press the power button. Your phone will reboot.
