How to Fix Pure Flix Not Working on Roku and Firestick TV?

We will start with the solutions for the Roku device. And then move on to the Firestick TV.

Verify and update the Roku device:

The Pure Flix application needs a Roku device running on software version 9.0+ to function correctly. So check your device for any pending updates, and if you see one install it on your Roku device right away.

  • Select the Settings option present in the left-side toolbar of the home screen.
  • Scroll down and select System.
  • Then select System Update.
  • Now select the Check Now button.
  • If an update is available, it will show the option Update Now. If you it, select it and let the process complete.
  • After the update is complete, the Roku device will restart.

Now try using the Pure flix app again. If you still encounter issues, try the next solution.

Check your internet connection:

You need to ensure that your internet connectivity is stable on the Roku device.

  • Select the Settings option present in the left-side toolbar of the home screen.
  • Scroll down and select Network.
  • Then select Check Connection.
  • You will see two boxes here. Ensure both of them have a green tick.

Reinstall the application on the Roku device:

  • Go to the Roku homepage.
  • Scroll through the apps list and find the Pure Flix app.
  • Now go to the app and do not open it. Just highlight it and press the * button on the remote control.
  • Select Remove Channel.
  • Then select Remove again to confirm the selection.
  • Now go to the Roku homepage again.
  • Go to the left-hand toolbar and select Streaming Channels.
  • Select Search Channels.
  • Type “pureflix” in the search and once you see it in the results, select Add Channel.

Update FireOS:

Now we move on to the solutions for the Firestick TV. We will start with updating the FireOS on the Firestick TV. Pure Flix is compatible with every version of FireOS, but it is best to have the system running on the latest version.

  • Press the Home button on your remote.
  • Find the settings icon on the right and once you see it, select it.
  • Now select My Fire TV.
  • Then go to About.
  • Scroll down and select Check for Updates. If there is any update available, it will show up here.
  • Install the latest version of the OS on the Firestick TV if it is not running on the newest version already.

  • Now go to Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Pure Flix.
  • Select Uninstall and then select Uninstall again on the next screen.
  • Now, press the Home button on your remote again.
  • On the left, look for Find. Once you see it, select “Search.”
  • Enter “pureflix” in the search box and scroll to Apps and Games.
  • Select the Pure Flix app and then select the Download button.

After the installation is complete, open up Pure Flix again. If you still encounter issues, try the next solution.

Unplug the device:

Unplugging the firestick TV from the power source can act as a soft reset for the device. That could fix the issue of Pure Flix on your Firestick TV.

  • Unplug the Firestick TV from the power source
  • Wait for a couple of minutes.

  1. I went on Pureflix to watch another episode of a thousand tomorrow’s and it asks me to sign and then to subscribe but then tell I already have a subscription but won’t let me in . I’ve even reset my password but still can’t get in .
