The taskbar in Windows 10 is quite different than the one we saw in previous iterations of Windows. By default, we get a bit of transparency on the taskbar, but it is minimal. We can go into settings and change it a bit too, but the difference after that is very minimal. So we have compiled several methods for you to try and make your taskbar a little or completely transparent.
We have included the built-in default way in this list of methods, too, as for some of you, that might be enough. But if you want to have a taskbar that ultimately gets lost in the background, then you must take at the other methods for sure. We have also included a method to disable the transparency on your Windows 10. So if you are looking for a way to do that, then check out the steps on that method mentioned below at the end.

Using the Windows Registry:
The next method is a bit more complicated than the first one. However, if you follow the steps accordingly, you will find it easy to do so.
- Press and hold Windows Key+ R. This will open up Run.
- Enter “Regedit” in the empty box of Run and hit the Enter button.
- It will open up the Registry Editor window.

- On the left-hand side of that window, you will see a list of options. Click on it and use it to navigate to Computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/Advanced.
- Right-click on Advanced, go to New, and click on DWORD (32-bit) Value.

- Name the newly created entry as UseOLEDTaskbarTransparency.
- Double click on it, set the base to Hexadecimal, and enter 1 in the Value data field.

- Click on Ok and then close the Registry Editor.
- Now press and hold Windows Key+ R again.
- Enter “ms-settings:personalization” in the empty box of Run and hit the Enter button.
- It will open up the Personalization settings windows. Click on the Colors option you see on the left-hand side.
- Now inside Color Options, scroll and find More options.
- Here, turn the toggle on for Transparency effects.

Restart the computer and see if the taskbar has become transparent. If it has not, then try turning transparency on and off again, that will surely do the trick.

Thanks. Worked fine. ;)
