Updated on August 01, 2020: Today Xiaomi rolled MIUI 12 update for Mi 9 in Europe with version V12.0.1.0.QFAEUXM. The new software update brings new system animations, redesigned UI, privacy protection, ringtones, app permissions, floating window, AI call assistant, Xiaomi health, control center, accessibility settings, dark mode, trips, Mi carrier services, messaging, improvements in home screen/camera/weather, and a lot more.
Updated on April 26, 2020: Today Xiaomi started rolling MIUI 11.0.9.0 Stable ROM for Mi 9 (Codename: cepheus) in Europe region with software version V11.0.9.0.QFAEUXM. The latest firmware update for Xiaomi Mi 9 brings the April 2020 Android Security Patch Level for the European variant. It mostly increases system security and offers some bug fixes as well.
The OTA update is rolling out in a phased manner and it may take some time to hit all the units completely. However, if you don’t want to wait further or haven’t received the OTA update notification for a while, you can manually check for software updates on your handset.
Just go to the phone Settings > About Phone > Software update. The system will search for any available updates. If available, simply download and install it. Alternatively, you can check the OTA update on your device via the Software Updater app.
Make sure to maintain at least 50% of battery juice and try to connect to the Wi-Fi network for faster & stable download.
